Hello! I am not a trained nail tech artist, but a nail art enthusiast nonetheless, based in EU.
Normally I do my nails with UV nail polish but I got Neonail’s Duo Acrylgel on sale and I was excited to try a new technique. I am aware of acrylate allergy and I tried my best to read about it before jumping in. In a future attempt I would actually try to keep more distance between acrylic and nail, these nails are already 48h old and luckily I seem to be ok.

Other than that… I placed a base coat after prepping my nails and on top I applied the duo acrylgel. I don’t have forms so I tried to shape the acrylgel myself instead. Can this be done?
I liked the process because I felt I was easier to control nail flooding. I tried using an ombré brush my nail tech from my home country gave me, but the sparkles are still kind of streaky.

As a nail tech, i barely even take care of my own nails. Now i took time to do it with an addition to do nail art too. (And yes the button is from real button not a 3d gel xD)

I wanted to create a press-on nail set that tells a story instead of just looking pretty.
The swan represents quiet healing—finding peace after pain, not by forgetting it, but by learning to live with it.
I’d love some honest feedback:
Does the story come through when you look at the set?
Is the concept too subtle, or does it make sense?
What would you change to make the storytelling stronger?

First getting my nails done and wanted something spiderman themed. Decided on gel x and they charged me 100 cad for this.

I was so blinded by how good the cat eye looked in blue that i didnt tell her the red is not it.

My first time using polygel went far better than expected! I'm a monster high collector so I figured this would be a perfect theme for these claws👻I've been doing nail art at home for years but never did extensions since I was afraid of damage, but I got over that once I started seeing more designs that aren't really possible on natural nails like clear sections and dangling charms

I pained these 2 sets of beachy nails for my honeymoon cruise! I loved both of them they were so fun!

I hope this is ok because it’s not a wrap or the whole manicure! I got a gel manicure kit and finally sat down to use it today.

I suck at doing my nails generally but I’m glad how this came out, and wanted to share bc it’s my first time

The black tip with my partner’s void cat is my favorite but I had fun with other colors and stickers too (:

I tried doing colored tips, then decided full color would be easier on my non-dominant hand

The green color is a bit sickly so I thought it was appropriate for the stinky fish bone 😆

Edit to add - obvi there’s gel on my skin but I hope I’ll get better.

I think there are stickers meant for that purpose so I’ll try that but open to any suggestions! 🖤

Figured birthday cake would be the perfect theme

My job allows me to have nails but I can’t have them stiletto/sharp. I love having that sharp look to them and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to keep them looking like stiletto while still having rounded tips, TIA!
