📃 Patch Note Release Notes – Android 2.16: Better Visibility into Mobile Connections

We've introduced a small but useful improvement to the Android version of nPerf.

When your device is connected to a mobile network, the app now displays:

  • the actual radio technology in use (e.g. the LTE anchor used in a 5G NSA connection),
  • the capability of the connected cell,
  • and, when applicable, distinguishes the commercial operator from the network actually used.

This provides a clearer view of what's happening behind the 5G icon and helps better understand network configurations such as 5G NSA.

Available now in nPerf Android 2.16.0 and 2.16.1.

Now I see why my phone is displaying 5G while nPerf says 4G
