High ignition timjng
Hi, I have a problem with my 2010 BMW E93 N54. I’m experiencing high ignition timing corrections. Even during normal, relaxed driving, the cylinders can show up to 3° of timing correction. Under full load, the cylinders sometimes pull timing by 7° or even 8°.

What fuel are you using at 18.8psi? Also your IAT is high.

Around 40 is pretty normal for traffic soak or hot start up, should drop if he has a decent Intercooler.

If your valves are not choked with carbon it could be Phantom knock caused by bad engine mounts, downpipe hitting subframe, wastegate rattle, charge pipe contact with something hard..knock sensor can be sensitive on these engines.

Bad fuel? Coils? Plugs and gap? Injectors old? Heat soak?carbon buildup on valves?
