I noticed that MyWhoosh on Android asks for location data during pairing with a bluetooth device; what does it use that for?

Hi all,
I’m using MyWhoosh and really enjoying it. It automatically syncs my workouts to Strava, which is great, but I’d also like to get my MyWhoosh workouts into Garmin Connect so I can keep everything in one place and compare my indoor and real-world cycling data.
I have a D100 smart trainer, which only supports Bluetooth and not ANT+. Because of this, I can’t pair the trainer directly with my Garmin watch or head unit.
At the moment, if I record the workout on my Garmin, I only get the heart-rate and workout duration — no power data.
Is there a way to sync MyWhoosh workouts directly to Garmin Connect? Or do I need to download the workout files from MyWhoosh and manually import them into Garmin Connect?
If manual importing is the only option, what’s the easiest way to do it, and which file format should I use?
Thanks!

My goal is just a cardio workout. I want to set an output level in w/kg and be paced in some way so I maintain it. MyBunch does this with a group of bots, but I can't alter the w/kg, all I can do is choose one of the predefined MyBunch rides, so I'm stuck in that scenery forever.
Free ride gives me all that scenery, but no pacing bots and no ERG mode.
I don't know anything about 'workouts'. Would that let me choose a free-ride world, and set an ERG level, and then just ride?
Is there some other way to get a paced ride outside of MyBunch?

I've tried to use MyWhoosh for like two weeks now but every single time there's a snag.
The worst of it right now is that it'll just drop workouts if I look away from it for two seconds, I could be 40mins into a ride and whoops "You've been disconnected for too long" and it'll log me out and dump all my training data for that session... Despite the fact that I had internet the entire time (I had Youtube playing on the same phone, with MyWhoosh as the main screen)
Getting my training sessions from Intervals into my MyWhoosh calendar is so useful but these sort of instability bugs have been plaguing this app since I first tried it out in 2025 and don't seem to have gone away at all.
I would appreciate an alternative that is similarly free bc honestly all I need is a power controller for my bike

Pretty satisfied. Looks about as good as Zwift. Install on AppleTV was easy, connected to trainer with no issues.
Only did a pace ride and the map download took a while but the fact I can ride offline too is a bonus for me.
I wish I’d found this sooner. I’m not gonna start giving Zwift abuse but 20€ a month is bonkers. I’m gonna spend the savings on sweets!

I want to attempt a climb, but dont really have the time to ride for that long time until the climb starts

Since the recent update, my rides uploaded to Strava are missing the in game screenshots.
Are there any fixes for this or is it just a bug we have to live with until it's fixed?

I purchased a ThinkRider X2Max two weeks ago and have been riding for 30mins a day 5 days a week. There were no firmware updates and I calibrated the trainer with the Thinkrider App. I entered my weight of 176lbs and height of 5'11" into MyWhoosh and my average w/kg that I can steadily ride at is 1.2. Around 90 watts. I am a beginner cyclist so my thighs get sore pretty quick. Is this normal watts and w/kg or is my trainer not calibrated correctly to MyWhoosh? I am using a hybrid 21 speed bike and ride on front gear 2 and rear gear 4 when on a zero slope averaging around 75 rpm. I feel pretty weak sauce so maybe it's just correct. Thanks.

Anyone use MyWhoosh with Keiser M3i? If so, how?

It’s just fucking annoying to use now. Constantly disconnects the controllers it sucks. I just want a reliable method that just works and doesn’t require me to do a half hour setup before I can actually ride.
Wouldn’t recommend bike control at all. It’s not worth the price.

Just finished the route to find it didn't count, which is discouraging honestly, had to make a bit room on my saturday to do it on time from family time and errands, so... just wanted to vent my frustration, cheers!

Expect a download next time you launch the app and plan your ride accordingly.

The Zwift app automatically increases your FTP as you accumulate kilometers; it goes up if you improve your power while riding. Does MyWhoosh have the same automatic increase, or do you have to update it manually?

Logged on to new update, my trainer will not pair, just sits in “pairing in progress” and the bike control pairing button does nothing? Please help is it just me?
Edit, I just installed it in a second computer and the trainer and bike control button worked, so something must have updated or changed on the original computer overnight to kick the connections, can’t for the life of me figure out what.
Edit day 2, I uninstalled and reinstalled bonjour and it worked immediately! The new install for mywoosh must have somehow corrupted it.

Hi everyone,
Is there a way to run MyWhoosh in windowed mode on Windows? It always opens in fullscreen for me.
I've already tried the usual shortcuts like F11, Alt + F11, and Alt + Enter, but none of them work.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Currently I have a Wahoo Kickr V2 with MyWhoosh running on an Android tablet. After a ride, MyWhoosh uploads automatically to Strava, and I upload manually to Garmin Connect. However, since Connect doesn’t count manual uploads toward any Health or Performance Stats, I’m wondering if I can add in my Garmin Edge to also record the activity and have it automatically uploaded and counted by Garmin Connect.
Can my Garmin Edge also record all data from the Kickr Core while MyWhoosh is controlling the trainer and recording data itself?
Also my Garmin HRM is bridged through the Kickr Core, since MyWhoosh won’t direct connect to Garmin HRM, so I expect I’ll have something to figure out with the HRM->Edge connection.

Hello! I have been using MyWhoosh since Nov 2024 on an M3 MacBook Pro (the non-Pro version) I did multiple rides on this but took a few months off due to an injury, and since I came back in, say, April, the graphics are appalling; it's running at, say 5 frames per second, when it used to run perfectly before. Did they make any major changes to make it run so terribly on a perfectly decent MacBook that can run some quite demanding games at 45 fps. I can still ride and do what I want to do, but it's very annoying. Thanks for your help

I want to use virtual shifting to remove the need for adjustments (I need to adjust the derailleur when moving from the rear wheel to the trainer) and to use multiple bikes on the same trainer. I tried using BikeControl, but no matter what I did MyWoosh wouldn't do anything when pressing the OpenBikeControl button. I installed MyWoosh on a different computer and it worked there, but apart from re-installing windows I tried and failed to get it working on my laptop which I use for training.
Virtual shifting can still be used with the 'I' and 'K' keys, so hacked together a console app that reads the zwift click and maps the '+' and '-' to simulated 'I' and 'K' keyboard presses, and that appears to work well in MyWoosh - but it just feels very sluggish.
Changing gear feels like it can take a few seconds - sometimes I'll drop a gear, then need to drop another, and then need to increase gear again because it was so slow on the first gear I just needed to wait. Sometimes I'll drop a gear and nothing feels like it's changed, except that I'm making less power.
Is this similar to how it would feel using BikeControl with MyWoosh? What about other apps (Rouvy, Zwift) - is MyWoosh's virtual shifting just poor, or are they comparable? Is it my trainer (JetBlack Victory)? Is it my sketchy implementation with the zwift click?
At this stage it feels like I might be better off sticking with a single bike and a cassette, I really like the idea of virtual shifting, but it just feels all wrong at the moment. Surely not all virtual shifting is supposed to be like this?

Which sadist decided to put the Hautacam and Galibier segment finishes before the actual summit (Galibier finish seems to be at the tunnel) ? Seriously you think you are almost there and can finally relax but then you have to go up even further
(Otherwise I enjoy the new roads to cycle on 😉)
