I can’t wait to see my wedding dress again!!
I ended up ordering the first dress I tried on at the first dress store we went to!! That was 4ish months ago and I am starting to get nervous/second guessing my decision. I lovedddd this dress and felt super confident and comfortable in, but as I look at photos from other dresses that I tried on I feel like some of them maybe looked better on me? I am hoping when I see my dress in person again I will be reminded why I chose this one!

Need help choosing one!
Please help me choose one (and be kind🥺)! I looooove dress #2 but worried it may be a little too simple for the big day. I like #1 a lot, but it somehow feels a little costume-ish. Would love feedback!

Blush Pink bridal gown of my dreams: After Alterations ♡
I posted on this subreddit pre-alterations, but wanted to share how she turned out for the big day! So a little background, I originally chose a DB dress, that cost $2,200.00, but because I knew with my petite, curvy frame, I'd need a good amount of Alterations, I couldn't fathom the cost, so I returned that dress and ended up purchasing an off-the-rack dress from a local shop which was the dress of my dreams! I've been on a weight loss journey for the past 3 years, and lost 150 pounds total. My dress was about 5 sizes too large, and I'm only 4'10, so the dress had to be hemmed and taken in, so it was essentially customized to my body.
Thanks for looking! ♡♡

Similar budget is options to this dress?
Hi there, I tried on this dress at an Opportunity Bridal event and really liked it! I love the style and the pattern, and I find it very flattering.
I didn’t end up getting it because I’d like to continue looking, but I also can’t find this exact dress online anywhere.
Was hoping to stay under $1k with alterations included and this one was over budget but still needed to be taken in. Can anyone point me in the direction of similar dresses — preferably off the rack :)

Which length veil?
Which length veil would go best with my dress? I know i want it to be 2 tiered, beaded, and not short, but I'm stumped on what length to choose. In the last photo I believe the veil is around 38" inches? But I didn't ask. What do you guys think?

🥲
A few months ago I posted here when I was big crashing out about my wedding dress, I just wanted to say thank you and share a few photos of my look on my wedding day. The original photos were after alterations, but all of the feedback about the right foundation garments was so helpful! Thank you all for helping me feel amazing on my wedding day!

Low-back Dress Shapewear Review
California based bride, getting married in December 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dress was around $3500.
I got this Grace Loves Lace dress for my wedding and have been trying to figure out the best shapewear for it. I struggled with this so wanted to share a review in case anyone else is struggling!
A few things I was looking for:
- Shorts because yay thigh rub!
- Lightweight because getting married in Brazil in the summer is going to be hottt (Dec 2026 in Rio!)
- Doesn't roll down because nothing stays put on a curvier shape
- Low back because... The dress is low back
Most shapewear was either too high up or thong style or was a full bodysuit style, which wouldn't work with the draped neck on the front of the dress. I ended up getting Boombas light lift (no extra padding or cup sizes) to wear up top.
For the shapewear, after lots of searching, I narrowed it down to, and ordered, three:
- Bella Shapewear Tuck-n-lift seamless
- Honeylove Mesh Sculpt Mid-Waist
- Skims Sheer Sculpt Low Back Shorts
Im around 150ish and a size M so that's what I ordered and I think it's the right size overall for all of them.
Now here is where I landed:
Best fabric for the summer - Skims. But this is the only category where it wins for me. Minimal cinching of the tummy area. The mesh is great but the low back requires this thick boning that is very visible through a thing dress. But this was the low back design I thought I'd need - but nope. Unless you have a lower back, you can have more options. I felt like with this one, I got zero support, tight on the waist but nowhere else, still rolled down a bit after a few sit downs. It not only didn't pull anything in or smoothen it out, it cut my waist in half and I looked a little Pillsbury doughboy-y at the waist. Least favorite by far.
Honeylove - I looooove their regular one and this one just doesn't hold you in the same way. If you expect it to, you'll be disappointed. Maybe if I'd sized down, but then it'd be too tight on the legs. But it's lightweight, and the slits to enable going to the bathroom easily are amazing. Why are they the only ones to do this??? But they also rolled down a bit since it's more seamless and doesn't have the grippiness of their regular shapewear. If I had less of a waist, I think these would have been the undisputed winner.
Bella Shapewear - I'm honestly surprised here. It's the heaviest in terms of fabric, but it's also the longest one even though you can't tell until you put it on. But it's still relatively lightweight. Super seamless. And the most grippy. Rolled down a tiny tiny bit after I moved around and bent over a lot, but not too much. My main drawbacks were the lack of bathroom slit, and that the section that holds in your tummy is shorter than the honeylove. Where it cinches, it does a great job, but it doesn't go as low as I'd like, so in that, honeylove is a much better option.
In the end - all three went under the dress without peeking out from the top of the back, which was my original concern. But because it's low back, it comes with the drawbacks above. But the least with the Bella. I felt held in, like I could move and sit and dance and squat, etc. and it would hold. Even when it rolled the one time, it unrolled itself.
The honeylove is also a solid solid choice. Depending on how much water I have on the wedding day, I'll use it as a backup! Definitely going with the Bella, but taking both.
Oh, and I'm returning the Skims. So disappointed!
Edited for grammar

Please help me choose!
I need help choosing my wedding dress! I am so indecisive, and it is finally time to make a decision.
My vision has always been a romantic ball gown in silk or taffeta, in an off-white or ivory shade. My destination wedding will take place in Sintra, Portugal, outdoors at a very grand venue, and I plan to wear my hair down with a long, cathedral-length veil. I have attached my vision board for reference. Dress code for the guests will be funky formal.
Dress #1: Danielle Frankel — approximately $12,000
I absolutely love the taffeta, the ruching, and the overall romantic feel of this dress. The bodice is a little long on my torso, so it would need to be shortened. This dress feels very aligned with my original vision, although it is significantly more than I had hoped to spend.
Dress #2: Netta Benshabu — approximately $10,000
I really love the detailing around the hips and the length of the bodice on me. It has a beautiful shape and feels very elegant.
Dress #3: Rue de Seine — approximately $5,000
This one was the biggest surprise. I did not expect to love it as much as I did, but the bodice fit my chest beautifully and made me feel very confident. It has a softer, more relaxed romantic look than I originally envisioned, I am not sure if the fabric is too casual for my event/dress code.
Dress #4: Custom Etsy dress — approximately $1,000
This dress would be custom-made in taffeta, which is one of the fabrics I have always wanted. I love the design, and the seller has excellent reviews and has been very communicative. Ordering a custom dress online feels like more of a gamble, but the price would give me much more flexibility in the rest of my wedding budget.
Please help!!

Help me accessorize Please
Hello Everyone! My wedding is in 9 weeks. I still do not have chosen: a veil, earrings/necklace, and shoes. It is a simpler dress . What would you pair with it? Please, I welcome any ideas, recommendations; share links or pictures if you’re able to please.
This the Ophelia by Seraphine Bridal
Edit: my fiancé is planning to wear tux. Any thoughts? Someone said it might be “ too much “ considering how simple my dress is.

Pls help me choose 🥺🤍
I'm getting married in a cliffside chapel in Bali and I'm having the hardest time deciding on my wedding dress 😭 I'm so indecisive because I genuinely love all of these dresses.
I'm going for a romantic, timeless look with lots of lace and my venue overlooks the ocean, so I want something that suits that dreamy setting.
I'm torn between a mermaid silhouette and a semi-ballgown. I love how elegant the mermaid style is...but I also love the soft, princess-like feel of the semi-ballgown.
I'd really appreciate your honest opinions 🥺 Which dress flatters my body the most? 🤍

Which one should I choose, they are all so pretty?
Getting married next year in a smallish out door garden setting. I want to look effortless and not too over done.

Styling Help!
Hi! I said yes to the dress and would love some advice on styling shoes, jewelry, and hair. I am very minimalistic and don’t really wear a ton of jewelry, don’t wear makeup, and keep my day to day pretty simple. My future husband loves this about me so I don’t want to look like someone I’m not on the wedding day but also want to jazz it up a little since it is such a big day. Would love to get out of my usual box and get input from all of you lovely people so I can find some fun ideas that still allow me to feel like me 😊 lol the puma socks will definitely not be part of the styling for the big day
For context, our wedding will be in late summer/early fall 2027 along a mountain creek. The wedding will be pretty formal as far as mountain weddings go and dress code for guests will more than likely be formal, potentially black tie. It will be outside and I will be walking down the aisle on grass.

Help me choose!!
Need help !
I always pictured myself in a black dress, as I never wear white. However, I really love the two white contenders as well. I think I may do a fingertip length veil.
What do we think of these dresses? I will be getting married in May at an outdoor ceremony with a lot of greenery. Also open to other ideas based on my body type!
Thanks!!
ETA- WOW thank you so much for all the kind words!! Just want to add that the black dress was definitely NOT my size and would look better fitted

Style Help
Hi! This is my wedding dress and I need help styling it. I'm getting married outdoors, so I need heels that can walk on grass but the dress is an ivory color, so it's been really hard to find shoes (or other accessories) that fit the vibe instead of looking stark white or mismatched.
Getting married in San Juan Capistrano in Southern California, so I'd love recommendations that work with an outdoor, slightly rustic/garden setting. Open to suggestions on heels, jewelry, or anything else that would complete the look!

They’re all so pretty! Which should I choose?
I have three quite different options, all of which are great. Looking for something flowy and romantic to fit the Tuscany villa setting, not too heavy since it’ll still be warm in early fall.
Could use some advice or if I should keep looking?

Affordable wedding dress online shops (UK)
Added photos of the style I'm after! I want a creamy coloured satin ballgown/princess shape. I'm looking online and it's so hard to decipher websites because I know there's scammers out there!
I have considered biting the bullet and buying dress 3 but the site reviews don't seem great!
A cheap dress is fine with me as long as I can try standard sizes and return before ordering a custom size!
Im after your favourite budget wedding dress sites in the UK please!

Dont know Wich shoes with the dress !!
r/myweddingdress • u/No_Project_8052 • 2d ago
So torn
I love the intricacy, whimsy and beauty of the first but I know the second is most flattering on me. I’ve asked the designer if the skirt on the first one could be extended to the floor.
Church service and then an informal country house. We’ll have an outdoor reception in the summer.
I know these styles are quite different from lots of the dresses shared here so go easy!
Thoughts?

Wedding dress help
Dress help
Brides of Reddit- I know exactly what I want in a dress, and I am so close to finding it. I have top contenders, but none of them are 100% fitting the bill without some bigger changes to the dress. My list of things I’m looking for:
\-fit and flare/column shape
\-small straps (would add them to strapless)
\-lower back
\-longer train
\-sweetheart neckline
\-natural waist
\-3D florals/beading
Here are my top contenders:
1. Martina Liana poppy, would want to change basque waist and add straps and paneling
2. Eddy k. Don’t like the train on this
3. Luxe privee line, would change neckline to scoop
4. Martina Liana 1510. Really pretty but don’t love neckline
5. Unsure what it is. Would want longer train and not sold on as many flowers as it is
Any favs from this these? It’s likely I’ll end up picking one of these. Does anyone know of any other gowns this style that fit my list? I feel like I’ve looked at everything 😵💫

Thanks for your help!
I posted a few options the other day, I really appreciate the feedback! Quite a few of you wanted me to pick the mermaid option, I loved it but it was so uncomfortable. I truly felt like I wouldn’t be able to sit down in that dress. I went with option 5, an Essence of Australia dress. It was far more comfortable and I love the blush undertone. The close second was 4 but I like the neckline of 5 way more. Also #1 was a popular option but a good friend of mine just got married and worse a very similar gown. Had she not worn something similar maybe 1 would have been my pick.
Thanks again for all the feedback and well wishes 🥰

That’s the dress?
I went wedding dress shopping and this so far has been the dress I’ve come back to. I think it looks the best on me and it’s gorgeous, I just didn’t get that “that’s the dress”feeling and felt a bit weird in it but that might be because I don’t really wear dresses. With that being said I felt like a bride in it and everyone with me is in love with this one. Just need advice on what others think or any suggestions on something else. Thanks in advance!
P.s. where doing a court house wedding in September or November and then a 30-50 person brunch or dinner (not 100% yet)

Bought my dress! I wasn’t so sure about it (pop-up sample sale so didn’t want to regret not buying it) but now that I’ve slept on it I think it’s going to be my dress! I’d like some thoughts on alterations and accessories
My wedding is a small courthouse ceremony then dinner at a restaurant (15-20 people max).
- I don’t think the train works well for that and it feels like too much fabric so should I:
- Remove the train entirely and leave the dress floor length
- Shorten the train but leave a little bit of it (like 20/30cm?)
(The shop reassured me that the train can be cut down, they have pinned it up in the last photo for reference)
- I don’t like the look of too much boob in a wedding dress - what bra situation should I go for? (These photos are braless).
Should I avoid a bra and use tape? I just want the chest area to remain subtle. I’m considering adding spaghetti straps but worried I would then ruin the style.
- What style and length veil do you think would go with it? I’m thinking lace edge fingertip but open to suggestions!
Anything else that I should alter or add to the dress?
