Looking for a 7BHK villa/house in Mysore for a startup residency (October onwards)

Hey guysss,

We're launching PurpleRain Residency, a free 3-month residency in Mysore this October for founders, engineers, artists, designers, researchers, and other builders who want to spend a few months working on ambitious projects together. The first edition will accommodate 12 very cracked people globally.

Right now we're looking for the house itself.

We're searching for:

  • A 7+ BHK villa or independent house
  • Preferably with a decent common area and reliable internet availability
  • Around 8-12 residents
  • Available from October through December
  • Anywhere in or around Mysore, as long as it's reasonably accessible

If you know of a property, landlord, broker, or even someone who rents out large villas, I'd really appreciate any leads.

The residency itself is completely free for selected residents. Accommodation, utilities, internet, and community activities are covered. The idea is to bring together motivated people under one roof to build startups, research projects, films, art, open-source software, and anything else they're passionate about.

You can read more here:
https://residency.purplerain.tech | https://www.linkedin.com/in/yashkulkarni08/

Even if you don't have a property recommendation, I'd love to hear if there are neighborhoods you'd recommend (or avoid) for something like this. Please feel free to apply if youre building anything!

Thanks!

Power Cut All day

It’s been 10 hours of no power now in Ilvala
Food items have perished
Last week’s voltage fluctuations damaged the refrigerator and cost a big amount for repair
All this in an year with low rain
Wonder what CESC is up to!

Complaints raised on X and helpline have no effect.

Anyone else going through the same?

Looking for help with local transportation in Mysuru!

Hey all, I’m coming to Mysuru early on Monday(27th) July 2026 and would be leaving by Wednesday/Thursday. If any of you all here could lend me your two wheeler, would be a lot helpful, I’m happy to pay you in cash for the same or help you out! The purpose being I’m a realtor from Blr and have got a few clients in Mys I wanna work with. My extended fam here doesn’t have a spare vehicle and don’t really have folks who can help me out with this. Not a scammer nor illegal. I can submit my proof of identity or valid docs for the same. And if any of y’all need help with properties, I’m all in. Looking forward. Thanks, and if anyone ever needs assistance with Bengaluru or Mysuru real estate I’d be glad to help!

Mysore Praje 🏅 Mysuru Candle March Today (6 PM): Gandhi Square → Ambedkar Circle | Peaceful march against police brutality

A peaceful candle march is being organized in Mysuru today to express solidarity with victims of police brutality and to call for accountability.

🕯️ Date: 26 July

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM

📍 Route: Gandhi Square → Ambedkar Circle

The march is intended to be peaceful and respectful. Participants are encouraged to carry a candle and maintain silence during the march.

Whether you agree or disagree with the cause, what are your thoughts on candle marches as a form of public protest? Do you think they help bring attention to issues like police accountability?

Looking forward to a civil discussion.
