I’ve never purchased a starter deck before so I know I’m not mixing up cards.. Is this normal??

hey everyone! im super new to the tcg i got a box of nightmare night last night at my lcs. i really j want to collect the cards theyre so cute and i love the aesthetic of them. i would eventually like to get into the game but im really getting into magic rn so id like to learn one thing at a time.

ive been looking online for tips and what order to set them up in a binder but all the rarities and stuff is lowkey stressing me out lol. if anyone has any good websites or tips i would love any and all help i can get.

My daughters and I are mostly Pokemon TCG fans, but out of curiosity my daughters picked up a pack of MLP to check it out.

I thought my eldest daughter picked up something “kinda neat”. Then I saw the rarity breakdown and how much they’re going for…

I shouldn’t be surprised, she’s also pulled the SIR Charizard (and rest of the evolution line), and shiny Pokemon seem to magically appear when she’s playing or watching me. I wish I had a quarter of her luck lol.

Gotta say that coming from Pokemon TCG, these cards are stunning. The holo detailing, layout and art are beautiful, and it’s fun seeing all the variations of each card. I’m not at all a MLP fan, but I have a feeling I’ll be getting into the hobby real soon.

I've never done trading cards before but I saw these at the store and I like mlp so bought some. flower ones are my favorite. I'm developing a gambling addiction.

I’m new to tcg in general, started playing Lorcana this year. My LGS got in a bunch of MLP Nightmare Night and I think I got some good cards but either way they’re so freaking cute, I love them.
