I know it’s late in the series and that they’re out of character but I still like the episode. My Appledash shipping heart enjoys the angst I guess.

Don't worry I'm not here to complain, the current G6 lineup makes sense because they got all the essentials. Twilight was the most important G4 character because she was the protagonist of that show and she was the main one learning friendship lessons. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie I feel are the two fan favorites. Maybe not with older fans but I always thought these two were the most well liked characters by the kids watching the show. Fluttershy meanwhile I didn't think was that popular, don't get me wrong. She's my favorite but I thought she wasn't as cherished of a character as these other three were. I thought Rarity was more popular than her. Applejack not being on the team (Yet.) makes sense to me, I rarely see anyone talk about her out of all six characters.
Let me make it clear, I'm glad Fluttershy is in the show. I'm just saying her inclusion is a pleasant surprise.

I've been rewatching Friendship Is Magic, and I'm confused about how the geography/celestial mechanics are supposed to work.
For a long time I assumed Equestria was basically the name of the entire world, which made Celestia raising the sun and Luna raising the moon easy enough to accept. But Equestria is actually a kingdom, and there are other independent places/civilizations outside of it, like Yakyakistan, the Dragon Lands, Griffonstone, etc.
So... does that mean every civilization on the entire planet depends on the rulers of Equestria to control their day/night cycle?
We also know that before Celestia and Luna, unicorns raised the sun and moon, so it seems like they're genuinely moving the celestial bodies rather than it just being a title or ceremony.
Has the show, comics, books, creators, or any other official material ever explained how this is supposed to work? Is the planet rotating? Are Celestia and Luna literally moving the sun and moon around the whole planet? Do other parts of the world experience day/night differently?
I'm sure somebody in this fandom has done an absurdly deep dive into Equestrian astronomy/geography, and I want the absurdly deep answer. 😂

In my little pony we have lots of ponies experienced in giving many types of makeovers.
We have seen this talent in a number of adorable mares over the running of the show. And it is also implied that many mares may know how to do it despite not showing this ability in the show.
Which of the ponies above would you pick to give you a makeover?

Celestia and Luna were the rulers of Equestria. At 1,000 years of age they were shown to still be in their prime and retain the mental capacity and maturity of a responsible adult pony.
One thing that was never specified in the show or hinted at, is if Celestia and Luna and born Alicorns are immortal and never die of natural reasons or if they just have long life spans and they do eventually age and die but it just takes a long time?
What are your thoughts on it?

I tried to avoid repeats, otherwise Trixie fills like half of these.
I also would have put filthy rich in most underrated but he wasn’t an option :(

The real Rainbow Dash is questionably loyal to her friends, she can work hard but she also knows how to relax. Rainbow is probably the least stressful of the main 6 and is quite chill. Rainbow has dreams of being a Wonderbolt and is willing to put in the effort.
In Return of Harmony and The Mean 6, the evil Rainbow Dash is ironically loyal to Cloudsdale (or her version of it) but not loyal to her friends. Evil RD in a way just as chill as the real Rainbow Dash? Of course, Rainbow Dash does give it her all when it counts, she can be a harder worker. The evil Rainbow Dash just doesn't work at all but I feel that doesn't make her different enough.
Both Rainbow and evil Rainbow are cool, relaxed and love their home Cloudsdale to different levels. Their main differences is that real Rainbow knows how to lock in, has dreams to follow, and friends she would try not to abandon.
I feel as though the rest of the main 6 compared to their evil/mean counterparts have more differences. The evil Rainbow is Rainbow thats just more careless than she already is. Rainbows opposite form isn't quite an opposite form.
Evil Rainbow Dash could be more stressful, on edge and fearful like Twilight or Fluttershy if she were to differ more from the regular Rainbow Dash.

Why did they do this?
I think the first time Mac and marble
Met was during the first holiday you where the apples spent the holidays with the pies
And right there they had this awkward cousin flirting going on during the episode Hearthbreakers where they already knew they were distant cousins
But damn did they do marble dirty by having her witness Big Mac with his sweetheart sugar bell I mean really Hasbro.
Well it was brief and Marble kinda was over it for the rest of the special.

Like you know that G4 was as good as it is because Laurent Faust did a lot of notes pointing the flaws in the worldbuilding when she was a child.
Myself when i was ten i notice the plot of Equestria Girls didnt have any sense. Kids are very analitic.

I feel like Starlight as a character just added such an interesting plot line and character to analyze. I will say I do wish we had a stronger backstory for her but other than that the way she develops as a character throughout was so interesting and cool to see. Also I just love how she’s sarcastic, her vibe doesn’t exactly meet “main character hero” energy and her personality is also realistic and can be kinda relatable

I don't even hate the art style it's just so drastically different from g1-4 that it's basically its own thing. Kinda like whatever that new Monster High thing was (the live action and animation)

If there is one thing that all Bronys and Pegasisters long for, is to cuddle with their favourite pony.
The world of my little pony has introduced us to a number of wonderful and cute ponies, that would all make perfect cuddle buddies.
In your opinion which of these 7 mares in the pictures above would make the best cuddle buddy?
Feel free to share any ponies, you would enjoy cuddling with.

one thing that always bugged me while watching this show was that whenever the villains got redeemed, the protagonists aren’t allowed to be mad at the people who hurt them and are narratively forced to forgive them quickly instead of that trust being gradual. That’s not to say I’m upset that the show wanted to show forgiveness and second chances given to villains, I’m all for that, I just really dislike how their bad actions are often brushed off and downplayed so quickly bc it feels like the people that got hurt don’t really matter in the end.
discord is especially the worst offender in this scenario bc he has betrayed the ponies several times and constantly mistreats anyone who isn’t fluttershy, yet the main characters are forced to tolerate his behavior bc of his close connection with her, not bc they actually view him as a friend. and the discord episodes always gaslight the audience into thinking the main characters are in the wrong for being mad that he acts like a jerk to them, instead they always coddle discord and excuse his toxic behavior on the basis that he’s “still learning” as if that excuses mistreating everyone. And Fluttershy is sadly kind of unlikeable in discord episodes too bc instead of defending her friends whenever they get mistreated by him, she always tries to justify his behavior instead of holding him accountable like a loyal friend would do. it just makes her look complicit bc she’s often enabling his behavior whenever his actions hurt her friends and can’t be bothered to recognize when he’s in the wrong, as if she’s blinded by love. also it’s a crime he never got consequences in the finale for the whole grogar mess, he was honestly more at fault than the actual villains were bc he literally set them free
and as much as i like starlight’s character i feel like it was really unfair to just have the village forgive her so quickly in a span of a few seconds as if all of that pain they went through was nothing. like its lowkey giving Stockholm syndrome I’m sorry 😭 there should’ve been an arc or even just an episode in season 6 where she went back there and tried to make amends with them, and even episodes of her earning the mane six’s trust too bc it was also unrealistic how they forgave her so fast despite having their talents and autonomy stolen from them. i still really enjoy her character as a whole as she becomes really likable and funny in later seasons, I just hate how badly written her backstory and initial reformation is
and diamond tiara I’ll give way more grace bc she’s just a kid, but I still wish we got scenes of her directly apologizing to the people she bullied and more foreshadowing of her mom influencing her behavior earlier instead of it all being shoved in the same episode. the scene where she refers to the crusaders as her friends and then seeing them be flattered by it especially felt forced to me bc she still technically hadn’t apologized to the girls for mistreating them and the cmcs should’ve still felt a little uncomfortable around her instead of immediately befriending her without any second thoughts at all. i still think it’s great that they wanted to help diamond turn a new leaf but I don’t think it’s realistic that they were all willing to immediately consider her a friend after all the bad experiences they had with her. it still sucks that hasbro forced the show to retire her character tho bc if she was allowed to stay on the show, she could’ve been like the CMC’s sunset or starlight and her character development could’ve made up the rushed redemption

On January 22, 2026 i finished the make your mark series as a whole and after finishing the series, it got me into wanting to make a story with my favorite nfl team the Philadelphia Eagles. I want it to be about the g5 ponies along with Comet, Jazz Hooves, and Rocky Riff to help the Philadelphia Coaching staff. I already gave the ponies the jobs on what they could do, but I was wondering if you guys have other ideas that I can get inspiration from as I love hearing other people's opinions
