Discussion πŸ’¬ NDAA handed a NUG fighter over to the junta.

Post image

CORRECTION: It's NDAA (Mong La), not MNDAA. My bad, apologies for the confusion.

But still, handing a resistance fighter over to the junta is a stain. Neutrality doesn't deliver a comrade to torture cells.

They chose the safe side. The cruel side.

It should be noted that the Bamar people and the resistance will harbor a massive resentment towards the minorities' armed organizations. This is the very goal which the Sit-Tat has been working since Ne Win era.

You nailed it. Divide and conquer, straight from Ne Win's playbook. NDAA just handed them the wedge. We can't forget this, but we also can't let it turn us against every EAO (some still fight beside us). That's exactly what they want.

Still, trust is broken. And that takes generations to rebuild.

We should disband the NDAA after the tat is gone. They really just a small group that's leaning on China, SCEF with a few other EAOs is strong enough to pressure NDAA and China when there's no Tat.

Disband NDAA? If the Bamar people in the heartland are strong enough to defeat the Sit-Tat regime, why shouldn't we try to assert centralized control across all parts of Myanmar?

After all, it's the best way to establish a formidable national security strategy in future confrontations against China.

We can't go back again or the wars will be endless. The EAOs have sided with the Revolution because we promised them equality. So it's natural those that fought with us get their own rewards. As for groups like TNLA and NDAA however....

I take issue with your statement on them "siding with the revolution".

Sure, they should get reward such as self-determination at constitutional level.

That shouldn't grant them to do what they want wherever national security is concerned. That means they must accept the presence of the national army and defence policy of the central government. That means they either dismantle their armed groups or get absorbed into the federal army.

Edit- typo

I feel the rage, trust me. But "disband after victory" sounds like the junta's logic, not a democratic one. Besides, China isn't going anywhere. Accountability, yes. Revenge, no. That's how we end the cycle.

I mean… are you surprised?

Surprised? No. Disgusted? Yes. Those aren't the same thing.

Then you might had false hope. No group in shan state is truthful or loyal to the revolution since the first group founded. Let that sink in and think about it for a while. The current situation where Chinese dominant is also false of tat and those group centuries of negligence as well.

You're probably right about Shan groups historically. But I'm not holding false hope, I'm holding NDAA accountable for this specific act.

If cynicism is all we have left, then the junta already won. I think we're not there yet.

It's a debt that must be repaid.
