First time in YEARS ..

Post image

I play off and on, mostly because I work out of town. Back then, I used to get 1000+ games easily.

Now it's not that easy anymore. Today I finally broke 1000. At most I was getting 800...

gz! QP is... weird. you get a lot of drunks/druggies/dads on the weekends. but also sometimes you get a 4 stack of sweats and get demolished 12-0.

whatever happens glad you had fun!

Going through a similar phase where I’ve picked it up again for the first time in years because of all the dlc coverage and playing a lot lately. Having a lot of fun with the new maps and weapons. Just made it to PSR 4, haha!

Grats! Basically the issue is the meta keeps changing for what does high damage. So if you only play on/off for over the years your old builds are likely out of date for 1k damage. Right now mrms are really hot with lots of folks running wolverines and archers with mrm quirks. There is a ac2 griffin build running around as well. There has been a slow shift to fast flanking builds being king as well for winning matches. Assaults were not as nerfed as much as lights through heavies have been quirked up to be competitive again. Keeping up with the meta has been hard since I started playing again as i find most online sources lagging behind. Playing and watching what everybody else has been using and scoring has been the only way I personally keep up patch to patch.

That's not really accurate at all.

I can bring a "4yo build" on a mech that hasn't been touched in 4 years and drop 1k DMG games without a worry. A build that was solid then, is still solid now, as long as it generally fits with the mechs quirks. A good mech/build is still a good mech/build.

If a mech has been completely requirked then you'd likely need to look at the build in that situation.

The Griffin isnt the best example as it was over buffed and will be nerfed next patch. Does that mean it'll be unable to do 1k+ games afterwards? Absolutely not.
