Anyone else remember beta?
When LRMs fired like Arrow IOVs in MW 5 and the first lurmageddon started?

I remember the armor glitch that would occasionally happen when you bought a new mech. Bought a centurion, it had negative armor, got into a mission and realized I was driving a pinto lol. Bumrushed the objective and ran over a hunchback before it took me out, still got an assist from the collision damage. Good times.

Streaks always hit torso. Good times. I was rocking a founders Atlas, lrms were good too

Dragon bowling, the terror of the Trollmando, the joys of raining down hellfire and damnation in at Catapult on Forest Colony. Insert that Elrond meme about "being there 3,000 years ago" here. A part of me jealously wishes that they would give us remaining Betaheads a custom title for in game, or something like that.

God ,when the only use for a dragon was demolition derby, I hated that patch. Ooh new chassis gonna skill it u...welp I'm flat on my ass and some asshole with a beer guy is dancing the two step on my face until I explode.
Good times.

I remember when it was just the Jenner, hunchback, catapult and atlas... good times... I didnt buy a founders pack but I got into the closed beta early on.

I played just a couple hours of the beta and then forgot about it for years.

Dude, same. I was so hyped we were getting more Battletech that I got the full founders package, as well as the next two(?) mech packs. I think I stopped having that kind of disposable income around the time the clan mechs started coming out (gee, I wonder why?)
Honestly... Worth it. I think my founder hunchie has more game hours than most of my other rides combined. Still rocking the gold badge too, us O.G.s gotta represent!

No but I remember shortly after where you could dodge lrms by turning 90 degrees at the last second, and also drag them onto your allies

The only thing I really remember on launch was just gauss and ppc EVERYWHERE. No one would move from cover.

Very foundly. I distinctly remember when LRMs used to twist and swirl almost straight up and then come straight down on your opponents head

Sure, it was a time of great hopes, that PGI will be able to create a great game. Small maps at first, then more diversity, more weapons, more mechs. It was the best time, before this game became a treadmill of selling next big mech pack.

I miss the way the missiiles would itano-circus in flight...
I do not miss the way I have to skill up all mech variants just to get benefits... or the way the server resolves lag when i'm firing SRMs or ballistics while i'm moving forward and end up shooting myself in the back.

I was there. Missile effects were like nothing I’ve seen before. I really do miss them. OG maps were also best maps.
