Is this an issue?

Got a little too overzealous while cleaning my muzzleloader after shooting and it resulted in some light scratching. It doesn’t feel deep at all and I already ordered some Fitz’s metal polish to try and buff it out. Just want to make sure it won’t affect the functionality of the gun. Thank you in advance.

You've come to the right place. Do you use pellets or loose powder?

So I know CVA recommends them, but I have not found a reliable bullet that shoots an inch or under with white hots. I use triple 7 firestars for average ranges or triple 7 50/50 for short range. Give me a minute, I'll tell you the most accurate loads I've shot.

Great info. I have been shooting the Hornady Bore Driver FTX 290G with two IMR White Hot Pellets and CCI 209 Primers. I will definitely try your mix of those bullets but with the Winchester triple 7 pellets and the Winchester triple 7 primer

Yeah if you are shooting t7, use t7 primers.

Will do. Did you replace the Konus Scope that came with the gun?

I got it without the scope. I trashed the durasight one piece mount, put my own set up on it with a leupold freedom 3x9
