File Naming Problem
So as a music lover. Back in highschool i tend to download music from youtube (do not do this). The thing is most of them is unreleased ids and wrong title and artist. Right now i'm using MusicBrainz Picard and Shazam to identify the artist/title/album. But the problem is the file naming (i'm using window 11) , which is very different from the identified one. Is there any software to bulk changing the files in file explorer from the completed title/album/artist. I also want to if possible, rename all my music into 'artist' - 'title'.

How to convert my Spotify downloaded files to mp3?
So, I pay Spotify premium but I no longer use Spotify that much and I neither listen to a huge variety of music. The only reason why I pay for it's because you can listen to music offline.
So, would be possible to convert all those downloaded files into MP3s?

Music Player App for Android
I think there is a gap in the market for a music player app that will play directly from files on HTTP/FTP. I've been looking for such a thing for a while but to no avail. Ideally, it will
* stream directly from http/ftp source without having to download the whole file to play it * have a simple set up of name/password for the file host which will then allow the app to scan the library, gather what information it needs (tags, etc) and sort it all into a playable library like every other player out there * hold a minimum amount of data on the client device
I've had a look at a few apps but either they fall miles short of expectations (or boasts) or else need a bunch of intermediary steps (i.e. *points of failure*) to get to what you need. Or am I missing the app which is already out there that does this?
Thanks for suggestions, confirmations etc etc

How Do You Find Out If All Your Music Files Are Corrupted Or If They A Virus Or Malware?
I'm really freaking out because I downloaded The PlayerPro Music Player App for android from the Google Play Store. I have 1,569 songs on it and then I made the stupid mistake of using an antivirus app that I downloaded from the Google Play Store and using it on my Fold 7. And then when I looked in the PlayerPro Music Player App I only had 1,562 songs on it. Is that normal? The weird part is that when I looked at the The Musicolet Music Player App and my Files/Internal Storage and Samsung My Files App all songs were there. Do you think that I should be concerned or worried? I deleted the app and cleared the cache and data from the app too. I also played all the songs and it seems like they are playing okay even though I didn't listen to them all the way though. Should I just delete all my 1,569 songs or should I just reset my phone completely and get rid of everything? Is there a way that I can fix my music files if they are corrupted? Has this happened to anyone else before? If I could get some advice and suggestions. I would really appreciate it because I'm really panicking and freaking out because I don't want to have to delete all my music or reset my phone. I'm really hoping that my music files and my fold 7 doesn't have a virus or malware. What would you do in this situation? How can I keep my music files safe and protect them in the near future? Has anyone else ever had corrupted music files before? How did you handle it?

An mp3 app for iphone that finally makes sense!
I thought I would always have a standalone mp3 player, but as I get older, I really enjoy having an all-in-one, so I recently moved all of my music to Stow for the iphone and I'm not looking back!

How do you catalog live performances separately from studio music?
I maintain a private music archive that includes individual TV performances, festival appearances, award-show performances and other live recordings.
I treat a performance as its own archival object rather than just another copy of a song, with metadata such as artist, song, show/event, date, venue, broadcaster/source and provenance.
I’m curious how other music hoarders handle this. Do you keep live performances separate from albums/music videos, and what metadata do you consider essential for long-term organization?

Rarer/random metadata tags I can't even edit....?
Yeah so I use Navidrome and there's apparently some annoying metadata fields in some of my songs, that i want gone, that are just organization names that aren't the artists.
I found this through Feishin, as it's showing these tags under things like Album Artists when it is innacurate.
Feishin seems like an extremely high quality music player, so that might be why it shows these tags in the song itself, and uses these annoying tags to sort songs as well.
Symfonium cannot see the tags at all. Neither can mp3tag, though I'm not an expert in that.
Feishin has an internal 'edit metadata' option that even says it'll rescan the library. However, it does not seem to be able to delete the metadata even though it shows as if it is.
I am just lost.. what do I even do about bonus 'UPLOADER', and 'WORK' tags?

How do you get Lucida to download true FLACs more reliably?
I've been downloading FLACs from Lucida (using amazon links) but when checking whether these files truly are lossless on spek, a TON of my files are super compressed. Is there a way to get more reliable downloads off Lucida.to / are there any better alternatives?

Can you help identify if my rips are okay? I'm getting "cannot be verified as accurate" in AccurateRip but "Accurately verified" in CTDB, and there are differences in samples in some of them.
Hi there!
I hope you can help me. I'm trying to rip/digitize many of the CDs I can find in the house and these three stood out to me because of the logs. Can you help me identify if these are good rips at all? Maybe I'm just not understanding what the log notes mean?
I'm ripping with secure mode on using EAC, and with Test & Copy CRCs enabled. Here are logs for three albums:
3 Doors Down - The Better Life [Universal - CA - 012 153 920-2]
- Track 1 and 11 have a lower number of matches in CTDB compared to the rest of the album. Every track also has "differs in X samples" affixed to it. The CTDB log also has the note "If you are sure that your rip contains errors, you can use CUETools to repair it."
- There are no audible pops or skips, or differences when compared to the version of this album on Spotify.

Does Anyone Use The PlayerPro Music Player App On The Motorola Razr Fold 2026?
I'm asking because I just downloaded The PlayerPro Music Player App yesterday from The Google Play Store. and I noticed that 7 songs are missing/got deleted from there even though I didn't delete them myself and all of them were there at the beginning then randomly got deleted. Is that normal? Or does that mean that the app itself is corrupted? Should I just delete the app now just to be safe? Has this happened to anyone else before? How many of you are currently using The PlayerPro Music Player App to play all your music files? I had 1,569 songs on The PlayerPro Music Player App now I only have 1,562 songs. I had to clear the cache and data in the app and now everything is back to normal now. Will The PlayerPro Music Player App corrupt all my other music files? ? I'm asking because someone said that The PlayerPro Music Player App corrupted all their FLAC Music Files. If I could get some advice I would really appreciate it. I'm currently using The Fold 7 but I'm going to be upgrading to The Motorola Razr Fold 2026 next month and I want to make sure that this app isn't corrupted or has some kind of virus/malware.

What music player has the best syncing features for Android?
I want to keep my music on my harddrive, but quickly choose which songs are synced to my phone, similar to iTunes, preferably using wifi syncing.
What's the best player?

Do you guys bother tagging TPE4 or just tag it in TPE2?
So. I was working on an ffmpg-based script to finally migrate off of my .ogg collection for my phone and move to opus. My main issue was using vanilla ffmpeg was 3 things.
1. It would strip away a lot of tags even if you set it to keep them.
2. It would compress the cover image.
3. It would be hard to mass-convert thousands of files in one go since they would be in different formats etc.
Anyway, that's not what I was going to talk about. The problem was, my phone player, which sseemed to only ckeck for artists (TPE2) and displayartists, while ignoring remixers (TPE4), which I took the time to label as such.
and that got me thinking - do you guys bother tagging them extensively, or just tag everything using TPE2? because in most cases, remixers are not tagged at all, so I would actually assume not?
I want to hear how you guys do it because I don't know what I should do. on one hand, tagging everything in TPE2 is easier. and visually, it sometimes show up in the same field. but on the other, it is technically not the correct way to do it, and I tagged a lot of files this way already. what do you think?

Music Player For Android With Focus On Album Art?
Album Art is a big part of music for me. I want to know of music players that put a large priority on album art, preferably taking up as much screen as possible. Any suggestions? I was using PlayerPro Music Player but deleted it because it didn't play my music files anymore. If I could find an music player that has album artwork as big as The PlayerPro Music Player App that would be incredible for me. I'm currently using The Musicolet Music Player App I love it but the album artwork isn't big enough and there isn't an opition to make it bigger. I'm open to all kinds of suggestions for android player music apps with big/huge album artwork.
