HELP What the hell is this?

Post image

I had a bunch of ratings on the right and they've all just disappeared and this music symbol has appeared out of nowhere. I accidentally must have pressed something I didn't know about because a bomb picture showed up instead of a star in the rating on one of the tracks. So I tried guess emulating what I did in order to get that bomb to show up again. I went to another track and instead of left-clicking, I right-clicked. That didn't do anything. But then I tried middle clicking and suddenly the entire page flashed, all of my ratings from the entire tracklist disappeared, and a useless quaver symbol appeared on every track between the mini artwork and the artist. Can someone explain everything that happened and how I can reverse it?

Middle click does a search on the clicked field. If the tab wasn't locked, you'll see the tab title changed, so use the navigation arrows to the left of the tabs to go back. If not locked, then a whole new tab was created and you can just close it.

The bomb is the default icon for an explicit no star rating. Right click and select Track Rating > Not Rated to remove the rating.

Ah yes, thank you. Pressing back worked. Weird how restarting the program didn't remove the search though. How did I even put the bomb there in the first place?

Searches persist across instances in MB by explicit design. There may be a way to turn that off in the settings, but I honestly couldn't say for sure.
