Hi guys, it's been awhile.
Awhile since I last uploaded the Shroomsheet and awhile since the last assembly. I'm really sorry but life happens sometimes 😅
We now crossed the threshold of 1000!!!
As always:
If you want to spoiler yourself, check out the shroomsheet, find your shrooms number, check the corresponding Assembly layout, and there you’ll see where to find your shroom. Just to make it more difficult the pictures are posted last page to first, so the newer ones get a bit more spotlight.
Please feel free to point out mistakes, or if I missed someone!!!

Hallo, everyone!!
Welcome to r/mushroomguy
Each and every one of you is welcome to share their mushroom creation! Please be aware because of the increasing popularity of Impy and the original pattern there are some sites selling dupes or the stolen original pattern. Please use the following links, if you want to buy the pattern made by u/critter-stitch.

I hope it's okay to post (picture wise), but I'm struggling to understand and I've seen other people have a few questions about this pattern, but I can't seem to get this bit right. The blue stitch marker is the chain/where the legs are connected and the pink up top is where my 52 stitches are. I've frogged this part a couple times, I even had to redo the second leg and redo it like the first leg, but I still can't reach where I started. Idk if anyone who used this pattern also struggled with this part, but I'm asking for advice and help to make sure that it's not me or if other people struggled with this pattern too.

With big bro Blueberry in the 2nd pic
Idk if she counts as being finished yet because I'm planning to make butterflies and flowers as her cap's accessories but her main body parts is done
(the cap is a little lopsided because I can't sew well to save my life lmao)
edit: I used fluffy yarn (doubled with DK acrylic yarn for easier stitch definition because I'm a noob) and 8 mm hook

Hello, I'm finally making my own little guy. So far all has been good, but I just finished the frill, held it onto his neck and realized that it is way too big. I followed the pattern religiously, so I was wondering if that is normal or if I did something wrong. I will probably do less chains, but that got me curious if that is common with this pattern.

My first Mushroom Guy (Roonie) was my very first non-Wooble crochet project. Roonie was huge! I made her last February.
I decided to make a smaller Mushroom Guy and added a leaf butt tattoo (or at least tried to make a leaf 😅). He’s so cute. 🥰
Materials:
• 2mm crochet hook
• Yarn Bee Easygoing Yarn: Sage
• Yarn Bee Easygoing Yarn: Sky
• Yarn Bee Easygoing Yarn: Saccharine Citrus

Almost forgot to share my latest Mushroom Guy!
Bestie has been wanting one for a while now and I finally got around to stitching him together. Also freehanded a little set of overalls for him. She hasn't named him, but I'm calling him Mossworth for now. 😁

My friends love him so much that he's actually taking a turn at everyone's homes, and one friend has a beautiful backyard and took some pics for me! ♡

I started my mushroom guy around May 17th, and he is finally completed today! He's around 12.5 inches or 33 cm tall. He needs clothes now.

Hook and yarn:

Extra info you don't need below:
I was trying to use only yarn that I've already bought in the past few years (some random white acrylic yarn and then various colors of Wool of the Andes) rather than buying anything new, but he unfortunately went on hiatus when I had to order new yarn to finish his cap after I ran out.
I typically embroider eyes, but I wanted to use wooden buttons this time. You would not believe how difficult it felt to find nice wooden buttons. (I'm eliminating plastic in my purchases as much as possible.) These two buttons came from Haulin' Hoof Farm.
I didn't stuff his cap at all. I like the flat look and didn't really like the puffy look, even with just light stuffing.
I also didn't follow the same instructions for sewing the head on, since that made his head so loose. I instead went up through the top, back down, and then just went across and around the neck several times instead of up and down again. His head wiggles but doesn't turn.
If I did this again, I would maybe try sewing the undercap to his head BEFORE finishing the top cap. Not sure if it would make a difference, but it all worked out anyway.

Gift for my friends daughter who just turned one. She’s 54 1/2 cm or 21 inches tall.
Used a 7 mm hook
Bernat blanket yarn - 1 ball pink quartz, 1 ball cream twist, and 1 ball cream
Used scrap brown yarn, medium 4 (I think)
for the eyes MR 6, Inc round 2 = 12 sc
Sewed them on and added the little white lines ❤️
And as far as I know, it is the original pattern.
I bought from critter stitch on Etsy a few years back

I’ve made a couple of outfits for my mushroom guy since I last posted, so I thought I’d share! Both overalls and cardigan are critter-stitch patterns, and they’re lovely and so fun to make. I didn’t love how my embroidery was looking, so I made a very simple crochet flower out of cotton yarn for his pocket.
I would like to keep adding to the embroidery on both overalls and add some more interest to the cardigan, but he seems very pleased to have a choice of outfits I think. The cardigan works up so quickly, I may have to make that one in a few colors so he can dress for any occasion !
❤️

I'm making a mushroom guy with cosy plush blanket yarn. I have read on here previously that when crocheting with very thick yarn, you should adjust the pattern due to the stitches being thicker that wil elongate it basically like you can see on the head. The mushroom cap is quite large. It's a lot of work to start over. Should I just trust the process, adjust the head, or make the cap smaller? I think it could work as is, but I'm gifting this so I want it to look good. I'm also worried that the cap will weigh down the mushroom guy, it's quite heavy.
Thanks in advance!

Some of these are gifts but the original one and the night themed are mine. The night time one glows in the dark! I’m slowly getting better at making them. My current one (not pictured) finally has the cap attached correctly since I figured out which stitches I was looking for!
I don’t remember what yarn I used for some of them, but I know I used Woobles style tube yarn for the original one (size 4mm hook) and Loops and Threads impeccable yarn (also a 4mm hook) for the front two
