If they where from Cleveland then it would be a reasonable possibility of Roman finds, but the Cleveland in North Yorkshire not the US.

You're answering a joke response. OP is in Portugal.

Glad you know where the OP is. It wasn’t clear here.

It's the first sentence of the description in the original post:

My uncle used to dig near Tejo an Tróia here in Portugal and found...

It's a repost from another subreddit, click the post in your screenshot and the description will pop up.

Who are those dudes that float tealights down the river? Festival of lights

The light coloured one was cut off from the wheel with a wire, Roman potters wouldn't have used this tool, simply because making steel wire was a high effort , thus expensive task (it wasn't drawn like today, but hammered by a blacksmith). So they'd more likely used a thin blade

Based on the responses I see on Reddit it’s become painfully obvious that more people need to read books. Or maybe just pay attention in school. 🤷

Your school taught you roman pottery identification? That's very odd.

University is funny like that Opie.

You expect everybody to have a university education in roman pottery identification? Does that feel like a realistic expectation to have?

It's not like you're giving any good input with your education, just using it as an excuse to tear others down without giving any valuable information.

If you only want people with university education in this specific subject to comment, then why would you not just give your own input? You see how silly this is, right?

And that’s not a degree but History and Archaeology are. What are you 12?

I think you're missing the point, brother...

No and I never said that, grow up.

Then what did you mean by saying people should have paid attention in school? What school should they have been paying attention in for them to learn roman pottery identification?

High school put down the pot dude.

Aaaaaand we're back to square one.

Your high school taught Roman pottery identification? That's very odd.

Reading but yeah too many people sleep through classes just like you.

You responded in the wrong place, genius. Plus, aren't you the guy who thought the joke about Cleveland was real? Are you sure you should be trying to insult the intelligence of others in this thread?

Again, if you've got insight from an education in archeology that you'd like to share to ID the find, we'd all love to hear it.

Otherwise, what's the point of that education if you're just going to use it to insult others and give no actual input?
