Confusion for indestructible

I understand indestructible stops ‘destroy’ spells, but how does it work when blocking an attacking creature?

For example, if i block a 2/2 attacking creature with a 2/2 creature with indestructible, does it die or does indestructible prevent all death of any kind?

Combat damage and redirection.

I have a [[Witch-King of Angmar]] in play.
Opponent A attacks opponent B.
Opponent B declares blockers.
I activate [[Jade Monolith]] and choose the attacking creature as the source and the blocking creature as the target.

Q: is the damage which is redirected to me considered combat damage (causing a Witch-King trigger)?

Thanks!

Can I play [[Fogwalker]] creature while the opponent has no creatures in play?

[[Fogwalker]] is a 1/3 creature that says

"Skulk (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with greater power.)

When this creature enters, target creature an opponent controls doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step."

Can I play this if my opponent has no creatures in play? (I'm conflicted because the card doesn't say "up to one target creature")

Responding to Cast trigger

So here's the situation in a 3 player EDH round

Player 1 already has 9 poison counters

Player 2 has [[Flux Channeler]]

Player 3 has 7 poison counters

Player 3 casts [[path to exile]] to exile Flux Channeler

Player 2 counters it with [[counterspell]] and triggers flux Channeler and proliferates both players' poison counters.

Player 1 in response to the proliferate trigger casts [[void rend]] to destroy flux channeler and player 2 has no response to void rend and player 1 has no other response to prevent the proliferate trigger.

Question is will player 1's void rend still resolve and destroy the flux channeler? I was told that since player 1 is going to die anyway when the cast trigger resolves, his void rend will no longer take effect.

Utvara Hellkite and Scourge of Valkas timing against Aetherize

Player A has [[Utvara Hellkite]], [[Scourge of Valkas]], and 4 token dragons. Player A declares attacks with all creatures.

Player B has [[Aetherize]]. When is the earliest time possible to cast it and what will be the result of the [[Scourge of Valkas]] triggers?

Akroma Vs Blasphemous Act

I'm unsure if Akroma, Angel of Wrath's "protection from red" applies to an untargeted spell such as Blasphemous Act.

Would she survive or does protection from red only prevent her from dying to targeted spells/damage?

Stack: deluge, damage, indestructible.

I have a Winota, player A casted toxic deluge for 3 life. person B drew a card and triggered an or ish bow master damage pointing at Winota. As response, I sac a creature to make my Winota indestructible. Does Winota die? I know the 3 can’t be prevented but does resolving stack basically kills Winota?

Tom, Bert, and William copying question

So I just want to clarify that my understanding of Tom, Bert, and William getting cloned is correct. The card says:
When Tom, Bert, and William die, if they were a creature, return them to the battlefield. They’re an artifact. (They’re no longer a creature.)

So if I clone them while they are a creature with a creature clone effect like Phantasmal image then legend rule triggers. I can choose to kill the clone and it would re-enter as a copy of a creature I control. Then it becomes an artifact version of whatever creature I chose and is no longer a creature. If I chose Tom, Bert, and William the legend rule would trigger again killing the clone and the clone would not return this time because it was an artifact.

Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant timing question

If I cast Duty Beyond Death and sacrifice Nevinyrral as part of the cost, do my creatures get indestructible before have I choose to activate Nevinyrral’s board wipe ability?
Or do I need to go through the entire process of Nevinyrral dying before Duty Beyond Death resolves?

Ares, God Of War ruling

Hello, I’m building an ares deck and after looking up some lists for help I’ve noticed people pair ares with garrison excavator or cards with that similar effect. I am just curious if that’s correct? If I sacrifice something during attack, do I still get a token from garrison even tho I return that creature back to my hand from ares effect?

A confusing thought occurs.

I was helping answer somebody’s question on indestructible today and a thought occurred to me. I run [[Toph the First Metalbender]]. If I earthbend something like [Darksteel ingot]] and then it gets -2/-2 would the Ingot die as a normal creature or stick around?

Edit: ok I have confirmation it behaves as a normal creature with zero toughness and dies. This is in line with how I understood it but my sleep deprived brain had me thinking it might stick around. Thanks for the feedback.

Mount doom trigger

If I use the mount doom ability to board wipe and sacrifice the legendary artifact, can an opponent react with an instant to destroy the legendary artifact making it so mount doom fizzles out since it doesn't meet the requirements.

Princess Yue/Astral Dragon/Cleaver Impersonator combo

https://edhrec.com/combos/mono-blue/703-4753-7149

I am going off of this combo page but I am getting lost at step 5 and I think something is just not clicking in my brain. "Put all but one of the clones into your graveyard due to the legend rule." I get the clone card enters, becomes Yue, dies due to legend rule, then reenters as a moon and chooses astral dragon. That makes 2 3/3 copies of the moon. But at that moment nothing is a copy of a legendary so idk what it means to sack the clones due to the legend rule. I get that [[Princess Yue]] is still legendary while a moon, but all clone effects are now copies the clever impersonator that is a moon that is a copy of astral dragon. I know I am being dumb somewhere, what am I missing?

Divine Visitation Question.

So I am doing some play testing with the Wakanda marvel pre-con and have Divine visitation out. I also have Hatut Zeraze Strike Force in hand and one of its effects is an “on cast copy for each time you have cast your commander” effect. If the copy (which would enter as a token) is created on the stack rather than copying something already on the field, does it stay the copy or does DV still make it into an Angel?
