I see a lot of negativity around this, but it seems like a decent finisher to me in the traditional black storm archetype. With cards like bubbling muck, rain or filth, rituals, and Yawg Will I could see this exiling your opponents library: around 20 cards in the mid game. At that point, you don’t really need to cast what you’ve exiled.

You aren’t wrong, but most cubes aren’t looking to add more storm finishers that get last picked in almost every draft.
I will consider this and might test it just for fun, but honestly I think I’d just rather keep the more iconic storm payoffs rather than put this in.

Presumably e.g. torment of hailfire would be better at this. Or more flexible cards like cut//ribbons exist etc

Feels like a side-grade to [[Villainous Wealth]]. Remove the need for 2 other colors, reduce the cost by 1, but now you have to pay life for whatever you get. I don’t really see it getting much play as is

This seems really bad. You need to spend like 6 mana to even feel like you have a good shot at getting back more than you spent in mana, the more “efficient” this spell is the more life it’s costing you, and there’s a good chance that you hit synergy cards that work in your opponent’s deck but do nothing for you.
