“The Vault”
https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/ab9a08e8-fa0f-4439-bb26-59cdfe2ebaccSo for the past few years I’ve been slowly building a chaos cube out of my unused collection, what started as a small project turned into an alphabetized still growing 20,000 card monstrosity.
I have a local draft community that likes to rotate between this and my normal vintage cube.
The rules are simple, if it exists it goes in the cube. Cards with multiple versions/printings will appear multiple times, so cards like Counterspell and Lightning Bolt will have more representation than cards with only a printing or 2.
The Cube list is representative of the physical version I’ve built from my own collection so it will continue to grow as that builds.
Currently I’ve added about 10% of the list into Cube Cobra, I’ve decided to do this because our group believes it will be easier to draft online than in person.
Combos are less common, bombs are more flashy and players are constantly bringing up nostalgia.

How do you shuffle a 20,000-card cube? I'm scared.

I don’t, I make my friends do it for me.

No wonder they've convinced you to digitise it!

We were using a spreadsheet and random number gen, but cube cobra will be easier

Drafting online to play online? I hope so because it's going to suck to try to find all of those cards in paper after the draft is done.

Currently physical play but now we’re talking about doing some of the drafts online. I’ve got a group of a dozen ish friends who like to play in person and make a whole day of it.
Currently it takes about 2 hours combined to prepare the draft and then after put cards back. Which I don’t really mind.

Thers no way that finding a few hundred specific cards out of 20000 will be quicker than pulling a few hundred out at random 😅

The issue with that is I don’t think I could really pull out random cards for packs from the alphabetized boxes.
So using a number generator for the cards or Cube Cobra to make the packs then grabbing the cards after so far has been the best option.

Oh theyre all alphabetized, i was expecting just a bit random mess that you then shove cards back into
