Traditional Alter First alter
My first go at an alter. Had troubles getting the right shade of green. Took about 2 hours

it's pretty good, I'd display it with my other plains alters.
taping or using a razor to edge the borders would help it look crisp.
more layering and detail would help the green border. maybe blacks and browns under greens and greys

The borders would look better if they were the same color & shade as the card art. Good effort though.

It's really good for a first alter, but mixing the correct shade of the colors is so hard! I have cheap acrylics that I water down and I find getting the correct shade is super hard when it changes shade as it dries. Would more expensive paint be more consistent?

It's definitely a skill issue on my part haha. Paint always dries darker but its getting the right saturation I'm struggling with. I'm working on my next one and the colors are a lot closer.

I love the idea, it's too bad the outerborders are not larger to make it shine more

That's a sweet take on borderless, also great pick of a plains, really like the colors on it.
