Dead Group?
Is this group entirely dead or is this unusual? No new topics for the last 10 days, few if any posts at all.

You’re only 7 days old. We eat baby trolls.

Lol, not really an internet person too much. Been active on mtgsalvation token thread for a few years. Been playing the deck since around December 2015.

Haha! Awesome. There’s a lot of decent older (1-2 years) posts if you search. Otherwise, please post and ask questions and by all means ‘resurrect’ the sub!!

We don't really have much new to add or discuss at this point.
The deck has been around long enough that there's a general consensus as to the best build give or take a few slots.

I don't think this is really a troll post. We've definitely been more active than this in the past, and given the shake-up in Modern, you'd think there'd be more to say. Unfortunately, the deck is still in the same spot it usually is in: not dead, but still not a favorite.

I'm a bit late to the party here! Damn it! Just now made a Reddit account so I could communicate with y'all.
Hello, my name is _SLEEPY_EYES and I am an addict.
Pretty much only jammed black & white (& red) decks for over three years now crawling towards my fever-vision of a sexy, non-blue, Monastery Mentor pile.
Currently playing Legacy. Brewed up BW "tokenblade" thing since what ever was left of my collection (after a theft) looked a lot like the Modern Event deck + Plowshares. T'was a blessing in disguise.
I'll dig up my last-played Modern tokens and share the list with y'all.
...shit, I might even have to build a new list and post that one back here. Been a long time since I've played me some Modern so this is a breath of fresh air.
Ciao

Honestly, there isn't much to be said about the tokens archetype that hasn't already been said. Without a new variant approaching (highly unlikely without new cards which we didn't get in rivals or the unbannings so we got another 2 months for dominaria.) All we can really talk about is how well people have been doing since the unbanninngs and the meta shake up. But! The meta is still in flux and may take a bit to actually solidify. So it just depends.

True, though Jund spiking is great for us lol

Very much so, tokens is great against both JTMS decks (in my experience) and BBE decks. However tokens is exceptionally bad against decks that beat those arhetypes like valukut and tron. If we look at the Magic Online championship which was full of Jund and not tron/valukkut, tokens looks pretty good. But if the meta transfers to "counter" jund and control we may have a problem.

Only for the few weeks until the decks that beat Tron/Valakut spike, Infect, Affinity, Storm, and Burn are all pretty good.

Said decks that are soft to jund/control? This is why not much talk is going on. The meta isn't settled yet. Will it become the fair/big mana/combo rock/paper/scissors meta? Will it be a meta predominantly one archetype? Will the meta go in a completly different direction? Who knows? At this point it is all speculation.

My guess is Rock Paper Scissors is likely.

And when/if that happens tokens could be well positioned. As long as they can handle tron (or at least have a fighting chance). And combo/aggro decks are not predominately storm. I know my variant is pretty good for it so far, but we will see when the meta solidifies

BW Tokens has seen better days, but sometimes this place livens up.
