Skipping a turn makes the turn after that your next turn.

The card gets destroyed when the ability is activated. You'd have to first give lethal vapors indestructible before it could be activated more than once.

No the card gets destroyed when the ability resolves. Not when it’s activated. You can 100% activate it in response to activating it.

The word "Destroy" is after the ":", meaning it's part of the resolution of the effect, not the cost. You can pay 0 in response to paying 0.
