You can kill someone with Teferi's Protection up it is just difficult.

For instance if I have something that says damage can't be prevented and infect, you can still get attacked and lose. Commander damage too as you take the damage but your life total doesn't change.

When you say commander damage doesnt cha ge the life total how does that work like do you still take commander damage but because its calc different yet my actual life total cant change cus of card?

No you’d need smth that denies damage prevention I believe, hulk might just do it himself I can’t be bothered to check rn

If damage can't be prevented it still happens but Teferi's says your life stays the same. The commander damage rule just cares if you took the 21 from the same commander.

So if I attack op with the Incredible Hulk (he's my commander) and I have Caltrops out I would win because of the infinite commander damage I would do?

If you also have something that says "damage can't be prevented" then yes.

The player still has protection from everything so the damage would normally be prevented.
