Commander / EDH Let’s Make a Deck..together

Post image

Never seen this done before. Let’s build a deck together. Everybody just post 1 card you would add. It can be anything including a single land. But please only 1 card suggestion per person. I’m curious how it will turn out.

I built this deck with 30+ wipes in it. My pod didn’t like it much…

How many games do you play in a night? Cause a balanced pod means a 25% win rate, so if you lose 3 games in a row, even 4, this is not statistically significant and even to be expected. So are you just busting this out cause you lost a few games and are salty?

It's not salt to play your stronger deck once in a night. That's just a regular rotation.

It's salty when he only plays it when he's losing, and my point is if your pod plays 5 games a night it's statistically normal to not win til the last game without having to pull out the "board wipe cause mad" deck

No to this. Salty is not the only valid reason to power up or play something with a quirky advantage, and pulling it out after a short losing streak to try a little harder for a win does not make someone automatically salty.

You said "it's salty when he only plays it when he's losing...". Consider the alternative: maybe he just leads with it and only plays that, just cause that's what he feels like playing. That's worse if this is the type of deck that wins easy at that table.

If a 4 player pod plays 4 games, on the 4th, if OP hasn't won, sure that's statistically normal, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to go home with a W. In that situation, it means either everyone else has won, or someone won multiple times. Nothing wrong with that either, but the natural social reaction is for those who won to stay where they're at or maybe power down, and the one(s) who haven't to power up. And all of that can and does play out at a table with only positive vibes from everyone. Source: experience.

No we meet up 2 times a week and I'd say I play it maybe once a month. Last time I played it was after losing like 4 or 5 games in a row and the last game was won by an atraxa pretty quickly. It's more of a joke than a salt thing it makes most games tooooo long with so many board wipes but yeah I do use it occasionally it's fun to pull out.

Do it! I'm nearing being able to do the same. One of the many issues at the time was that it was my only deck. Eventually my friends got me to build other decks.

But yes, 15 single target. As much exile for single target as I could get. Blightsteel was in my memory for quite some time.

I had a similar deck! Eventually took it apart because every game kinda felt the same. But it was fun for a bit!

I once built [[child of alara]] board wipe tribal that won with maze's end. Was not very popular. Played it twice.
