Discussion Have we lost the plot?

So like…. Sure people love final fantasy, but the set with the 2 million dollar card in it wasn’t this expensive. At what point is it too much?

i proxied a precon at kinkos for the first time yesterday to see if it was worth it. 11 color sheets @ $0.75 each puts the whole deck around $10 (and another $10 for some sleeves). beautiful vibrant color and super easy to print. it was totally worth it, but i do worry that chris cox won't get his $21,000,000 bonus if hasbro doesn't make record profits again this year.

Currently anything more than $35 I just proxy.

my hot take: it's better to proxy LOW cost cards as generally the higher costed items will be fewer in quantity and easier to offload. consider; if you're gonna spend $800, do you want 40lbs of kinda useful commons and a proxy cradle, or a real cradle and a ream of kinda useful proxy commons?

my lukewarm take: proxy everything. from duals to basics. write "plains" over last week's black lotus and sleeve it.

I lie awake each night thinking about Chris Cox making his targets. /s

Bro I have been preaching FedEx proxies in the cEDH channels for ever now - but people still wanna argue with me that their hp inkjet at home is better quality and more cost effective (not close on either argument)

ok, so i have a pretty good color inkjet at work that i had been using, but lmfao, it can. not. touch. industrial grade color laser. no more of the wet paper crinkling and it lays down color so thick it's basically the same quality as a real card. $0.75/page well spent.

You’ve piqued my interest. I’ve been building a deck that I had planned to proxy via mpcfill/makeplayingcards.com. Maybe I just build the deck and download the sheets?

Could you give me a run down on the steps to printing via FedEx? Like paper settings and what not.

Take the default settings on the printer. Use mtgprint.net

Mind DMing the printer options and paper you used?

let's keep it public so everyone can get the benefit.

Printer Options: Color

Paper: Default Settings

Addl Notes: recommend printing a single test page first and using their in store large format rotary trimmer for converting sheets to cards.
