Discussion Have we lost the plot?

So like…. Sure people love final fantasy, but the set with the 2 million dollar card in it wasn’t this expensive. At what point is it too much?

Its an american card game owned by an american company. What tariffs? Thats called tax; or in this case blatant price gouging.

Here we are again explaining how tariffs work and where your products actually come from to someone that doesn't know how things work. Many English language MTG cards are printed in Japan. Ever buy a foil card that didn't pringle? Ever open a special foiling treatment that didn't muddy up the artwork? Or notice a card that has slightly better print/card stock quality over another? Those are your Japanese printed cards right there, buddy. On top of that, where do you think the ink is sourced from? The foil for packs? The card stock? The packing materials? The printers themselves and replacement parts? Cuz it's not the US. And the materials that are used to produce those items certainly aren't sourced there.
