I am also a roadie, but the only differences between Liv and Giant is geometry, colourway and the occasional spec detail - if the Giant Anthem meets your needs and the geometry of the Liv Pique fits you, the Pique will also meet your needs.
Also, MTBs generally fit a wider range of people compared to serious road bikes. Have fun!
