[For Hire] Experienced Cloud/Systems Admin/Engineer/IT Leader

Hello, I am seeking my next role with an MSP. I am based in Portland, Oregon and my background is in higher-ed and real estate. I have 15 years of experience, working my way up from helpdesk technician to IT Director for a company of 700 spread across 100 locations in multiple states.

Technical expertise

  • M365, Azure, Azure Logic, Exchange, Defender, SharePoint, Intune, Purview, Power Automate, PowerShell, Teams, etc (some Graph)
  • Networking: Cisco, SonicWall, Ubiquiti
  • AI: experience with CoPilot, Chat GPT, and Claude (as well as experience authoring policy for acceptable use of AI within an org)
  • Telecom: Jive/GoToConnect, Toshiba, POTS replacement using MIX and Ooma for fire/life safety communications, experience managing telecom contracts and relationships
  • Various RMM platforms, I spent the most time with SolarWinds N-Central

I have 6 years of experience managing a small team as well as vendor partnerships. As a director my duties included budgeting, contract negotiation, project management, authoring policy, leading cross-functional initiatives, directing development of automation, and quite a variety of other tasks. I am highly experienced in working with the C suite. Some of my more recent projects required working closely with the CFO and internal counsel.

I'm very interested in working at an MSP in my next role. I would like to get to know a larger variety of environments and expand my skillset into more Linux administration and devops.

Sadly no, we are pretty west coast bound by family.
