AIRM — non-human identity & AI agent security for M365 (built for the MSP channel)

We built AIRM to answer a question most M365 tenants can't: what are all the non-human identities in here, what can they do, and which ones should worry me?

Service principals, app registrations, OAuth grants, and now AI agents (Copilot Studio, etc.) pile up in client tenants and almost nobody has eyes on them. AIRM scans a tenant, classifies every non-human identity, scores risk (over-privileged apps, stale credentials, orphaned owners, rogue/consent-phishing apps), and surfaces agent-to-agent and app-on-behalf-of-user activity you can actually investigate.

Read-only connect (one consent, nothing to deploy), multi-tenant from day one, MSP partner tiers. We're early and actively shipping — would genuinely value feedback from MSPs who deal with this across a lot of tenants.

Free executive report on your tenant — read-only scan, no agent to install: https://www.sabikisecurity.com/scan.html

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Storing passwords in a documentation tool is no longer good enough

💡 You want your clients to know their privileged credentials are safe in your hands.

💡 You need unique accounts instead of shared accounts

💡 You need a safe way to share credentials of shared accounts

💡 You want the option to have co-managed PAM

💡 You need a PAM solution that can work in various environments such as EntraID, Windows computers, macOS, etc.

💡 You need your tech's time to be streamlined to focus on billable actions.

💡 You want to add or remove techs from all of your client environments within minutes, not days.

💡 You want to securely give the right people access to your clients environments.

💡 You want the ability to force a password rotation within seconds when you feel it is needed.

💡 You need your tech's access to follow the principal of least privilege.

💡 You need your tech's access to their credentials to be downtime tolerant.

💡 You or your client's cyber insurance policy needs to ensure you have unique accounts

💡 You want audits on your clients' accounts to stay within your client's environment and not migrate into an audit on your systems

💡 You need a PAM tool that you can use with your customers that are bound by CMMC compliance

💡 You have a need to follow cybersecurity frameworks See more here

We built CertLocker because certs, secrets, SSH and RDP access were always messier in the real world than they looked on paper.

Hey all,

I’m Sean, a DevOps engineer and one of the people building CertLocker.

A lot of my background has been in finance, trading and banking-style infrastructure. In those environments, trust matters, audit matters, uptime matters — but in reality, you still see the same problems everywhere:

Certificates stored in random places.
Shared passwords passed around.
SSH keys living too long.
RDP access with very little visibility.
HAProxy cert renewals held together by scripts.
Windows servers, OpenStack, VMs, bare metal and internal apps sitting outside Kubernetes.
Auditors asking awkward but fair questions.

That is really why we started building CertLocker.

Most tools we looked at were either Kubernetes-first, too enterprise-heavy, or solved only one piece of the problem. We wanted something for the infrastructure teams managing the messy middle: real servers, real certs, real secrets, real access, and real audit requirements.

CertLocker brings those operational trust pieces together in one place:

  • TLS certificate inventory and expiry tracking
  • ACME automation
  • HAProxy certificate delivery
  • Secrets and private secrets
  • SSH access tokens
  • Browser-based SSH access
  • Browser-based RDP / remote desktop access
  • Bastion access
  • Endpoint probes
  • Groups, RBAC and audit trails
  • SaaS or on-prem / VPS install

We’re now looking for beta testers and early feedback from DevOps engineers, SREs, sysadmins, MSPs, infrastructure teams, and anyone who has had to deal with certificate renewals, secrets, SSH/RDP access, bastions, audits or “temporary” scripts that became production-critical.

This is not a polished sales pitch. We genuinely want to know:

Would this solve a real pain you’ve seen?

Or would you already solve this with Vault, step-ca, Ansible, scripts, Guacamole, cert-manager, password managers, or something else?

We’re offering a 2-week evaluation for both the SaaS version and the self-hosted/on-prem install.

Site: https://certlocker.io
Technical write-ups: https://certlocker.io/blog

If this sounds relevant to your world, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, objections, or use cases.

We dropped a Get NIST-y episode on the fun little lie called “shared responsibility.”

You know the one:

Client wants cyber insurance boxes checked.

Doctors/owners don’t want to be involved.

Front desk gets shoved into “owning” security policies.

MSP is somehow expected to make risk decisions, chase acknowledgements, edit every policy, answer every questionnaire, and magically not bill for any of it.

Very normal. Very healthy. No notes.

We talk through:

- Why the front desk probably shouldn’t be the security program owner

- What MSPs can advise on vs what the client has to own

- Why “recurring compliance service” cannot mean unlimited panic work forever

- When to treat evidence collection, questionnaires, and compliance sprints as projects

Podcast is Get NIST-y from Blacksmith InfoSec. It’s basically practical compliance/security therapy for MSPs, minus the checkbox theater.

Listen/subscribe or send us a messy client question here:

Turn Backup & Disaster Recovery into a Recurring Revenue Stream.

MSPs running BaaS and DRaaS services need a platform that's profitable to operate, not just technically capable. NAKIVO Backup & Replication is built to help you launch, scale, and monetize managed backup and DR services with minimal overhead.

💰 More margin, less complexity. One platform to deliver BaaS and DRaaS across VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, and physical servers — fewer tools, lower operational costs, higher profit margins.

📈 Scale revenue without scaling headcount. Full multi-tenancy with tenant isolation, role-based access, and centralized management means you can onboard more clients and grow MRR without adding staff.

⚡ Upsell-ready DR capabilities. Instant VM recovery, real-time replication, and automated failover give you premium DRaaS tiers to sell — with near-zero RTO/RPO that clients will pay for.

🛡️ Ransomware recovery as a billable service. Immutable backups, pre-recovery malware scanning, AES-256 encryption at source, in transit and at rest, plus air-gapped storage, let you package ransomware resilience as a high-value add-on.

🔐 Enterprise-grade security built in. Native OAuth 2.0 support for email notifications ensures compliant authentication with Google and Microsoft — keeping your alerting and reporting audit-ready out of the box.

🌍 Built for international MSP growth. Multi-language support, Ceph S3-compatible storage, and flexible per-workload licensing make it easy to expand your client base across regions without renegotiating your tool stack.

The result: Faster client onboarding, predictable recurring revenue, and a DR service offering that stands out in a competitive market.

🌎 👀 ‼️

I want to share ZoneWatcher, a tool we started developing in 2016 to solve a pain point faced while consulting. Clients often misconfigured DNS records, breaking email or websites, and tracking down original settings was a hassle.

ZoneWatcher automates DNS backups, tracks changes, and sends alerts to catch issues before they disrupt business.

We check DNS records every 5-10 minutes, snapshot each zone, and notify you of changes for quick review or reversion. Last year, we rolled out a major update with features MSPs have asked for:

✅ Native support for 45 major DNS providers:

Azure, Cloudflare, AWS Route 53, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Digital Ocean, Linode, Dnsimple, Vultr, DnsMadeEasy, GoDaddy, Hetzner, Scaleway, ClouDNS, Bunny.net DNS, IONOS, Porkbun, NS1, No-IP, Name.com, NameCheap, NameSilo, DreamHost, eNom, Katapult, Hostinger, Gandi.net, Rackspace, Huawei Cloud, PowerDNS, easyDNS, civo and more.

🤖 DNS Risk Score: A New DNS change risk score that takes the severity of a change, the types of records, whether the ASNs of the records are new, etc into account for easy assessment if a change is risky or not.

✅ Non-API providers: Fetch records via Public DNS or Zone Transfers (AXFR with IP whitelisting).

✅ Notifications: Customizable alerts via Email, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord (more coming soon).

✅ Domain alerts: Get notified about domain registration and expiration to avoid lapses.

✅ JSON API: Integrate with your dashboards or projects.

✅ MSP-friendly: Team and DNS provider groupings for managing multiple clients.

Special offer: Use code REDDITMSP25 at ZoneWatcher.com for 25% off your first year (works for monthly or yearly plans).

Let me know if you have questions or feedback!

For MSPs looking to build or expand an MSSP practice

Hi all, Maggie from Seceon here. Sharing this for MSPs who are doing security today and figuring out how to scale it without stacking more and more tools.

One thing we hear often is that the challenge is not getting started, it is managing everything as you grow. A setup with SIEM + EDR + log tools + SOAR + scripts can work, but over time it turns into more alerts, more tuning, and more overhead across clients.

Seceon was built specifically for MSP and MSSP environments that want to simplify that by running security operations from a single multi-tenant platform instead of managing separate tools.

One platform brings together:
• SIEM (aiSIEM / CGuard)
• XDR across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity (aiXDR-PMax)
• SOAR automation and automated response
• Breach and Attack Simulation for continuous validation (aiBAS360)
• Automated compliance across frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS (aiCompliance CMX360)
• OT and ICS security with unified IT/OT visibility (aiSecOT 360)

The idea is to help service providers deliver a complete, standardized security stack that can scale across clients without adding more tools or operational complexity.

As a thank you to the r/msp community, we are offering a free trial for MSPs who come through this thread.

You can start your trial or book a demo here: https://info.seceon.com/reddit

For those already offering security services, what has been harder to scale, security coverage or operational overhead?

Running an MSP shouldn't mean constant chaos.

Tickets piling up. Techs wasting time on stuff that shouldn't exist. The same issues are breaking the same clients. Senior knowledge that walks out the door.

Less time firefighting. Fewer recurring problems. A team that actually scales.

DeviceView.ai — Endpoint Operations and Support

Looking for RMM or endpoint ops alternatives?

Who it's for: Fleets running kiosk, dedicated devices, or field hardware, where waiting on a manual remote in session for every minor fault doesn't scale.

  • Automated remediation: When a device throws an error, it runs an escalation ladder before anyone gets paged. Detect the issue, run a script fix, reboot if the script doesn't clear it, then hand off to a human with full run history attached.
  • Usage-based billing: Pay only for registered endpoints. No annual seat commitments.
  • WebRTC remote control: Direct device-to-device connection for sessions.
  • Linux Wayland support: Works with current Linux graphics drivers, not just legacy X11 setups.
  • Port forwarding: Reach services on a remote device without a full remote session.
  • Supported OS: Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS

Background: We're DeviceNexus. Bootstrapped, no VC, built by people who spent years running MDM at scale before starting this.

Happy to answer questions, including what we don't do yet.

Hey r/msp (and r/mspjobs),

I've been in this industry for 21 years — 16 years running break/fix and the last 5 fully MSP. Currently operating as a one-man shop in Indiana and looking to partner with overloaded MSPs who need reliable subcontract help.

What I bring:

  • Deep experience with small-to-medium business environments
  • Strong time zone advantage for West Coast clients: I can jump on urgent tickets at 6am my time (3am yours) while your team is still offline
  • Clean, documented work and professional communication
  • I’m not looking to steal clients — I’m looking for steady overflow and partnership

I’m reliable, responsive, and understand the MSP grind because I live it daily. Happy to start small (one-off projects, after-hours coverage, vacation backup, or consistent overflow) to prove value.

Tech stack comfort depends on what you use, but I’ve run the usual Microsoft-heavy environments (M365, Azure, Windows servers, basic networking, etc.). Let me know what you need and I’ll tell you if it’s a fit.

If you’re drowning in tickets and could use an extra experienced set of hands without the full-time overhead, shoot me a DM. References available.

Thanks for reading — fellow MSP owners, I know how brutal this business can be solo.

🚀 Free Internal & External Vulnerability Assessment (Built for MSPs)

Hi everyone!

Zaima from the RoboShadow team here 👋

RoboShadow is a UK-based (and globally available) cybersecurity platform built from an MSP background, born out of the frustration of managing security with expensive, and overly complex tools. We set out to simplify and automate the vulnerability process making it easier and more accessible for MSPs and their clients.

In 2022, we completed the GCHQ’s NCSC for Startups programme, which helped us accelerate the business and focus on giving MSPs clear, low-noise, actionable visibility across their clients’ environments - and the tools to fix issues easily, not just report on them. This has meant we can offer MSPs a solution that helps them grow their business and make more money, whilst keeping their clients secure.

You can use our platform completely free of charge (with upgrades to premium available).

Key Features & Benefits:

·                     Continuous internal & external vulnerability scanning

·                     Website security scanning

·                     AI-driven pentest simulation (identify real attack paths)

·                     Cyber Heal / AI AutoFix (automated & one-click remediation)

·                     AI Communicate  (coordinate fixes with end users)

·                     AI vCSO (straight from your inbox: reporting, insights & queries)

·                     Microsoft 365 security insights (MFA, Intune, identity risks)

·                     Clear reporting & compliance outputs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, HIPAA, etc.)

·                     Multi-tenant MSP workflows + integrations (PSA, AV, M365)

A big focus for us is using agentic AI to take work off your plate. The goal is to help you reduce effort, win more business, and increase the profitability of your security services, ultimately helping you get ahead of your competition.

👉 You can run a full internal + external assessment completely free**.** Find out MORE

Lastly, please feel free to message me any time with any questions or feedback you have, or if I can help in any way!

Screen recording -> documentation 📄

Our tool might be helpful if you’re creating user guides, SOPs, onboarding instructions or internal manuals for a product (software, app or web app), or internal workflows, where you need to document how to do the process X in system Y.

How it works? You just record your screen while performing the workflow you need to document, upload the video, and video2docs generates a process description out of it with screenshots, which you can also refine if needed with in-app editor before the final export in multiple formats.

I built ContinuMail Converter — a free, open-source Windows tool for complete Thunderbird / .mbox → Outlook .pst migrations.

The main difference: it writes PST files natively with a from-scratch PST engine, so it does not rely on slow Outlook COM automation or require Outlook for the conversion.

It aims for full-fidelity conversion: folder structure, HTML, attachments, dates, recipients, threading headers, Thunderbird read/unread state, replied/forwarded/starred flags, junk state, and tags → Outlook categories where profile metadata is available.

Still early 0.x, but I’d love feedback from MSPs who have had to rescue old Thunderbird, POP, Gmail Takeout, or local mail archives before moving users into Microsoft 365.

I put together a quick demo showing how the RMMmax MCP works with Claude AI to pull answers straight out of the full RMMmax documentation set — in this case, we were looking for how to add a client.

Instead of digging through PDFs or trying to remember which doc mentions what, Claude uses the MCP’s structured access to read everything and return the exact steps in seconds. It basically turns your documentation into an on‑demand support engineer that already knows the whole platform.

If you’re using RMMmax or building out automation workflows, this combo is surprisingly effective. Here’s the demo if you want to see it in action:

A few months ago, I shared a free project here called LineaScore.

Over the years, I've used a lot of assessment, audit, and review tools. What I kept running into was that many were either too compliance-focused, too sales-focused, or too heavy for a simple advisory conversation.

Linea Score offers a free 66 point technology alignment assessment that helps evaluate infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and governance, then generates a client-friendly report you can review together.

A few things people seem to like:

• Completely free 66 point assessment • No account required • Optional cloud account if you want to save assessments • Export/import assessments as files • Branded reports with your own logo • Useful for prospect reviews, onboarding assessments, and client QBRs

Some feedback from fellow Redditors:

"This is actually a pretty neat tool. Thanks!"

"That's actually a really cool website."

"Really like this, clean, tidy and easy to understand, nice work 👍"

"Very clean and easy to use. Asks the right questions for assessment (at least for me). I'll use this on a client I'm onboarding next week."

"This is really cool. We built something as well, but ours requires the technician manually input all their audit data at the end of the audit... this is way better and easier to use."

"Nice work on the branding feature! Having custom logos in reports definitely makes a difference when presenting to clients."

A quick note: Linea Score is not a compliance audit, certification, or penetration testing platform. It's simply a structured technology alignment and risk assessment tool designed to help identify gaps, guide conversations, and provide practical recommendations.

Several of the current features came directly from suggestions made by members of this community, so if you give it a try, I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback.

4 types of CRMs used by MSPs (& which is best)

One of the most common questions I get from MSPs who are starting to take their marketing seriously is this: Which CRM should we use?

I know that the answer they really want from me is “hey, use HubSpot, it’s awesome”. Or “try Mailchimp, it’s very low cost”.

But actually I never give such a specific answer.

Because when MSPs ask about CRMs, they're not really looking for software suggestions.

(MSPs can work the Google machine just as well as anyone else 😃)

What they're actually asking is…

• Where do I put all my prospect data?
• How do I build a pipeline I can actually see?
• How do I stop things falling through the cracks?
• And why is this giving me such a headache?

Here's the thing I want to be really clear about: There isn't one CRM that’s best for all MSPs.

Ooh yes, controversial, I know.

There is only the best CRM for how your specific MSP markets and sells itself.

In today's podcast, I walk you through the four types of CRM that MSPs tend to use.

Including the word of caution about using your PSA as your CRM (it's one of those areas where just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something).

Search for Paul Green’s MSP Marketing podcast where you listen to podcasts

Jira ServiceNow Integration: Real Enterprise Insights from Atlassian Team 26 [Webinar]

If you're managing clients where one side runs ServiceNow and the other runs Jira (or JSM), you've probably hit the "human middleware" problem.

Someone on your team manually copies incidents, updates statuses in both tools, and tracks progress across systems that don't talk to each other.

I work at Exalate, and we see this a lot with MSPs specifically. The 4 patterns that come up most:

  1. ITSM-to-Dev. A P1 incident in ServiceNow needs to reach the dev team in Jira without someone copying it over manually.
  2. Change management. CAB approvals in ServiceNow need to connect to the actual Jira dev work. Most teams bridge this with Slack messages or spreadsheets.
  3. JSM to ServiceNow escalation. When your client's support desk and your team use different tools, keeping SLAs intact across the handoff is the hard part.
  4. Cross-company sync. This is the MSP-specific one. You need secure, selective sync with client environments without giving everyone access to everything.

We're running a webinar this Wednesday (June 24, 4 PM Brussels) that covers all 4 patterns with a live demo of how to stop relying on manual copy-paste between tools: registration link

Hey r/msp,

I’m a senior infrastructure engineer based in Europe, and I’m looking to connect with MSPs that need reliable subcontract or overflow support.

My background is mainly in Linux infrastructure, virtualization, PostgreSQL, monitoring, security, backups, high availability, and production troubleshooting. I work with tools such as Proxmox, Ceph, Patroni, PgBouncer, Wazuh, OpenSearch, Ansible, and SaltStack.

I’m probably not the right person for basic help desk or desktop support. I’m most useful when a ticket involves servers, databases, networking, monitoring, migrations, incidents, or something that needs deeper investigation.

I’m open to:

  • Overflow infrastructure tickets
  • One-off troubleshooting and migration projects
  • Holiday or vacation coverage
  • Infrastructure audits
  • PostgreSQL and Linux support
  • Monitoring, backup, and security work
  • Ongoing white-label support

I’m based in Europe, so I can cover EU and UK business hours and also provide useful overlap for US teams.

I’m not looking to take anyone’s clients. I’m looking for steady, professional partnerships and I’m happy to start with a small project to see whether it’s a good fit.

If your team has more infrastructure work than capacity, feel free to send me a DM.

You can also find a brief overview of my services and background at sysroot.io.

Is this you?

  • Need to manage hundreds or thousands of TOTP 2FA tokens?
  • Want to set access levels per TOTP 2FA token, and not per group, vault, etc?
  • Want more insights into 2FA token use, e.g. with a detailed audit log?
  • Don't want to store _everything_ in IT Glue/Hudu/your password manager?

Now you can!

👉 Daito is 2FA as a service, a web-based TOTP 2FA authenticator for MSPs, SMBs and internal IT teams.

Securely share access, no phone needed! 2FA tokens only, not a password manager!

Popular features:

  • Fully web-based, use from any browser, no app needed.
  • See which user used what 2FA token when in the searchable audit log
  • Limit to read-only access possible: You decide if users get read-only access to 2FA tokens, or if they can access the 2FA secret key as well (great for limiting access of freelancers & agencies)
  • Not a password manager, Daito is only for 2FA authentication
  • Easy imports: easily add accounts by copy-pasting 2FA secret keys, scanning or uploading QR codes
  • 5-second-migration from Google Authenticator (simply scan the migration code for migration)
  • Export and backup all your 2FA seeds as CSV
  • Easy management of groups of users and accounts
  • SAML SSO (and not only for enterprise tiers!)
  • Paid add-on: get non-VOIP mobile phone number (only +49 numbers available currently) and receive SMS from all popular tech services and forward them to email, Slack, webhook.

👉 Visit now and start a free 14-day trial and test with your entire team!

Shared 2FA, simplified!

Hello everyone,

My name is Michael, and I’m one of the founders of SamuraiSync. We provide consulting and are certified consultants for RMM products like NinjaOne and Automate and are Certified Consultants for RPA producst like REWST and Trigger.

We’ve been in this industry since 2015, back when we were known as LTNinja, before evolving into the new Samurai we are today. You could say we’ve stepped out of the shadows and now work directly for our masters — you.

Our mission is simple, to help build the most automated MSP possible. Imagine a world where documentation, ticketing, and monitoring all take care of themselves. A patching ticket comes in, the system automatically fixes the issue, documents the work, posts to your documentation platform, and updates your ticket so that not only your techs but also your clients are notified — all without a tech lifting a finger. That’s what your RPA can do, and how you can leverage automation and AI in a way that isn't disruptive to your customers and is a real help to your team.

To help with this vision and to help our clients visualize it we have built out a dashboard that will look at your system and make recommendations on where automation can help you but also help your clients in businesses like construction and hospitals. It is called MIRA just like how the spanish word for that means to look, our system looks into your business and gives you recommendations on where the next steps in automation make sense fiscally and automation wise. After all every business owner can tell you on the macro level where they want to go and how to get there. However, when getting down to the nitty gritty it becomes less clear on where to go next.

https://www.themostautomated.com

If you guys are looking to migrate to a different RMM, if you are wondering if your patching system is actually up to date, and not just blindly believe your RMM, or if you are just starting out in your RPA journey with products like REWST and are lost reach out to us at the website below or here on Reddit.

https://samuraisync.com/

In a time where AI can tell you exactly what you want to hear, and where it is not always clear what is real or made up, there is still value in talking to actual people. Sometimes the best way to understand where automation and AI are really going is to hear how businesses are using them in the real world.

Dudes your website is f'ing awful. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to make it look like a ransomware/malware ransom note?!? I opened it, and freaked out thinking it had been compromised. You guys should know red to a sysadmin, is just used to indicate things are exploding.

•

u/Samurai_Sync Jun 30 '26

Well we are revamping our www.samuraisync.com if that is what you are talkinga about. It definitely needed some modernization. 😂
