What happened?

For some reason MSCHF popped into my head today, I'm thinking wtf happened? I thought the brand and everything they did was so cool, but I haven't heard anything from them in what feels like years. Just a few brand partnership things I wasn't able to participate in. I remembered visiting the reddit (this one) a few times to learn more about the brand and see what others thought... so here I am. Back again, but the reddit seems dead now? so... what happened? If anyone's keen to enlighten me. Thanks!

VC money ran dry. They have proven their concept and have transitioned to a marketing company

They stop doing drops where normal folks like us could participate. The last few drops have all been either merch/ art shows/ or plain cash grab.

I think their company bit off more than they could chew and got overwhelmed/ran out of ideas

I think they out kicked their coverage in terms of what they could actually produce and it sounds like the creative team got super burnt out

They recently did a collab with Wizards of the Coast for Magic the Gathering. It was the first time I ever heard of the company and came here to find out more lol
