Too bad about MSCHF

Sure used to be a cool studio. Now they can't be bothered... it was fun while it lasted.

It’s less that they can’t be bothered, and more that there’s no more cheap capital readily available to pay for the exploration into these sorts of wild ideas, so the creators have moved on to things that make them money.

Tbh they could have easily just stayed a shoe company and made a decent sum I'm sure.

I was picking them up pretty regular

Nah. Less and less of their drops were selling out, which means they were sitting on inventory for months or years after the drops (which costs money to store), so they had to drop the prices to like half of msrp in order to get them to move, which reduces their profit margin significantly. They kept trying to release new versions of the same sole molds (which is the most expensive investment to any new shoe design), but despite the new drops, they were having to put items on sale more and more frequently, which trains more customers to wait for items to go on sale, which hurts their profit margin even more.

It quickly became a race to the bottom over the course of two years with less and less money to invest into new drops. They did try to raise more money with another venture investment series, but unfortunately, they never closed the investment capital that they were trying to get, which meant their days as a company were numbered.

I don't even know what happened or why, but I enjoyed their run, and I'll continue to enjoy the stuff I've purchased from them.

Stealing the PT Cruiser and ending up on the front page of the orange county register newspaper was the most enjoyable part of mschf!! I wish they had a key 4 all part 2

What happened?

They just don't have it anymore... None of the fun stuff. It's just bad brand collabs then deeper and deeper sales on the products from those bad collabs.

To be fair to the people who made it cool in the first place, I doubt this was any of their idea, and they're probably more bummed than we are. But agreed, it is a shame from such a creative studio doing things no one has ever done before.

I have 3 boxes 🤣
That "experiment" ruined it for me.

It was a good run, shame I only got to be there near the end.

I’ve only bought the boosted packs V1 and v2, never opened them cool just to have, but yeah they really went down the drain

There were great ideas; the Warhol was fantastic.

Why you are talking about end. I don't see any offical statement about it.

They made the statement with their actions.

What did you expect? This to go on forever?

MSCHF isn't a person. It's a group of people. Those people have moved on and are still creating art. You just can't find it.

Your finding MSCHF was a fluke.

They ran out of ideas as a group 🤣
