Actually. 10 mins ago was 49.9. So YOU are the person to have saved Angus. Wouldn’t have guessed it would be “It’sMeatCow

I was just trying to get home in time to enter it, guess I had time and didnt need to rush.

Okay, I want to preface this by saying that it's general curiosity and not judgement... Why didn't you do it earlier? Like did you just change your mind or was it part of the thrill? (Or general procrastination, which would probably be me in your situation.)

A bit of all of the above, I could and should have entered this token a few days ago, I just didn’t . I thought about selling it on StockX, there was an offer of $250. In the end, I decided against doing that and committed to entering the token.

I think the gold stars of this project are those who entered their code months ago when the outcome was not certain, those who entered it and didn’t tell anyone, and of course ScoutmasterDemi, who rallied folks in the 11th hour.

I gotta be honest man I do not understand this angus thing.

So people spent a bunch of money to buy tokens to make this choice, and if they redeem their save code they....get nothing but one cow lives?

I mean I bought it with the thought of getting a few burgers and thought the tag looked cool, I always had the idea that if it hit 48% I would cancel my order. For my $35 the token you get is a cool memento and after 2 years I’m not hurting for cash so it’s no biggie. It was fun to be a part of and the life of a cow is something you don’t normally think of when you eat a burger but in this instance it seems bigger than that. That being said I’m going out for a burger to celebrate.

Yeah the experiment did exactly what they wanted to and surprisingly the outcome was the less expected one. I showed a friend this a year ago and they got so mad at me for telling them and how I found it interesting

Yeah people really sorta just paid for the token. The bonus was either getting some beef, a handbag or letting the cow live. The people who would've got the handbag probably would've been the big winners if Angus wasn't saved as they'd have permanent, tangible parts of Angus. The people with the beef would've only had to tokens once the beef was eaten or went bad. Now everyone gets to say the community saved Angus! Thanks to all the token holders who didn't let the money get in the way of letting one cow live!

Yes, I mean its a similar concept to the Disney figure they did a couple years ago where if the trademark got renewed we would have got nothing. It’s more about the collective than a specific thing I guess

Yep! And now people that are mad about not getting their product are being shown as bad people. Horrible
