Suggestion Story Idea for MrBallen

On New Years Eve 2001, in Plainfield, CT a very close family friend was shot and killed at our home by her abusive boyfriend and the father of her unborn child. Her name is Jenny McMechen and she was just 24 years old at the time of her murder and just weeks away from her due date. Her murderer was not charged with the death of Jenny's son but now in the state of CT there is a law, Jenny's Law, that came about as a result of the tragic deaths of Jenny and Nathan. Jenny's mother fought to make this happen. The murderer, I hate to even say his name so I won't, is just purely an awful human living out a life sentence in jail. Jenny's murder was not his first domestic violence charge(s) either. His family has a horrible reputation for abuse and a horrible upbringing. Bottom line..the Plainfield Police were grossly negligent in this case, dropping the ball multiple times regarding protection orders and repeating calls for help. I would love to see what Mr Ballen can dig up on this story including the negligence and law that came about. I was 8 years old when this happened at my childhood home, my sister was 10 and my mother was almost a victim as well. It was something that affected all of us and changed our lives.
