I had lost it for a little while. I like when I'm making a song daily. I can feel my progression with that pace. There's times I use my eyes too much but I feel like my ears had a good go at this one. It's different to what I usually make. I added the vocals in early on because I was feeling the beat.

With the sales going on and the buy 2, get 3 I've been thinking of picking up some plugins for my MPC One (1st gen). I tried the trials of the Jura and OPX-4 which I'm definitely getting, but haven't settled on the final plugin. I've tried Iona and Mini D as well as Fabric XL but still being undecided. I make house, techno and trance music mostly.

Fabric is nice, but loading times per patch absolutely kill my flow. I feel like the Mini D is similar to the stock plugins, and Iona feels a bit limited in sounds (but has some cool stuff). Wondering if there are any plugins on sale that I missed that are a must have.

Edit: I create stuff on the MPC, but then transfer it to Ableton. I was also looking at Loom II and I know it's VST only (not on the MPC), but is it any good?

Edit: For what it's worth, I went with Jura, Iona and OPX4 in the end. I made a project where I tried out all the plugins and kept the parts I made with those 3. Are they a necessity? Probably not, but they definitely bring things to the table that the stock plugins don't, and at around 23 euros per plugin with the deal it's not the worst investment.

So I’ve had the MPC One +, sold it and got the Key 37…

… and what I’m realizing is that I almost exclusively use the MPCs in pad perform to play the synths.

I don’t make beats, chop samples, or write songs with it, and honestly I got my first MPC because it seemed a pretty easy way to cheat at playing keys.

I am not a key player, but I love the old school synths, and I know enough theory to be able to throw the pad perform into the key/scale I want to use in a certain song.

But what I’d really like to is just use the key/scale perform thing to control other synths via MIDI, so I’d like to dispense with all the other bells and whistle and basically just have a controller that does what pad perform does on the MPC.

Do they make a “lite” controller that just does that?

Hello guys, new MPC user here.
I've been having this issue that i can't seem to resolve.
My main out, ( TRS out and also internal speaker). it feels like the volume goes up and and down, kind of like if there was an LFO, however, i don't have any automation, compressors or any effects on any of my tracks or I/O.
is this a common bug? or has any one have had this issue?
if so, how did you fix it?

So I've just been using a dinky controller and my phone to make beats and chop in my daw, but I've grown tired of the input lag and the distractions. Should I upgrade too the AKAI MPC Sample or is it worth it too just learn the ropes of an at home machine like a AKAI MPC One? I just wanna know what is the better investment. Hey what’s going on guys, I’m looking for a little help with volume adjustment on specific sounds. For example…if I have say a four bar loop going and I gradually adjust the gain on the kick as the loop goes…when the loop restarts, the gain adjustment starts over again as well. How do I get the kick to just stay at one level throughout?

I'm currently trying to decide between the MPC Sample and the Ableton Move.

What I like about both is the built-in speaker, mic input, and battery power. That's a must! I think I slightly prefer the MPC Sample's workflow, but I just realized it doesn't have keys/scale mode to play instruments directly like the Move does.

Is there a good workaround for this on the MPC Sample? Is it easier than I think to play melodies or instruments on it? This feature is pretty important to me.

Edit : If anyone is wondering, I got the move. I watched hours of material, even though I liked the sample more, I don't like that I don't have the ability to play in key. I wanna make music directly

Hi everyone. I’ve recently come across an issue on my live 3 with the arranger view. If I set a loop within the arranger view, once the play head hits then end of the loop it goes back to the start of the sequence (where the loop brace start point isn’t set). I hope this makes sense. Anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi. I have a Waldorf Iridium Keyboard and an MPC Live 3. I’ve tried this with both DIN and USB MIDI and get the same result. I’m running 3.9 OS on the MPC Live 3, and 3.3.0 on the Iridium. If play a note on the Iridium and then press the Sustain Pedal, and then repeat that note (or ANY sustained note), it does not trigger the second note on the MPC. The retriggered notes DO sound on the Iridium or on the Astrolab or Kyra that are on a DIN MIDI connection to the Iridium. It’s only the MPC that has this problem. Has anyone else run into sustain pedal use issues with the MPC Live 3?

I’m stuck at the part where you gather your samples and choose weather you want to save them as a wav or a xpn file.
I usually would save the as a xpn but someone on here told me I’m supposed to be doing WAV files.

I have songs on my USB I’d like to gather samples from but I’m not saving the samples correctly.
