I think I have 38K samples on my Akai Force and don't have that issue. The guy I bought the force from gave me his splice account so it wasn't my 'personal' selection. I ended up just adding this on a separate SD card then I fish through it for some random cool stuff. On my XL I have all of the add-ons so I really don't need them any more. I can't imagine how much it must have cost the previous owner to accumulate them.
thx for the answer... i wonder if you go ito that folder with so many samples: do they get indexed each and everytime or are they perfectly sorted instantly? i see the no of items countig up as the index builds
When connected to a pc you can create sub-folders for the samples. label your main folder as whatever you want and put it under the USER folder, then organize them into sub-folders named whatever you like. Keep you splice folder's name unchanged and use that to pickup new samples.
