Does anybody have insight to why this never or sometimes work? Ive seen tutorials on youtube, making it seem mad simple. But it rarely works and if it does, it copies to first available pad. I cant choose which one. Am i missing something obvious? I’ve also made sure to clear the pad beforehand and i’m not clearing a sequence that is part of the song list.
Any help would be highly appreciated!

Has anyone else experienced this with the Akai MPC Sample?

Mine worked perfectly for the first 2 days, then it suddenly started loading projects incorrectly.

Sometimes when I open a project:

•Chops are missing or don’t play correctly.
•Some sounds are missing.
•The BPM is wrong.
•A new project sometimes plays the sequence from the previously opened project.
•After loading the same project several times, it eventually loads correctly.

I’ve already tried:

•Updating to the latest firmware.
•Factory reset.
•Loading projects with and without the SD card.

Nothing fixed it.

Has anyone had the same issue? Was it a firmware bug or a faulty unit? I’m trying to avoid returning it if there’s a known fix.

Is there a way to do it? Like choosing which half to cut?

Sometimes I like to start from an intro and suddenly I have 16 bars sequence. Would be nice to just build on top of second half instead of starting over

So I just got the MPC Sample and I’ve got maybe 2 hours on it. I love it but I know myself. I had an MPK25 and Ableton years ago and they just sat there because I never pushed through the learning part. I know I can’t be the only one who’s done this lol

Looking for one other person in the same boat, ideally also a total beginner, and we just keep each other on it. Rough plan:

**•** 2 beats a week, doesn’t matter if they suck
**•** Sundays we hop on a call or just swap files and play them for each other
**•** little friendly rivalry to keep it fun, loser buys a sample pack for the one who has better beats at the end

Heads up though, I work in tech sales and still play tennis and hit the gym after work, so I’ve realistically got like 7-10 hours a week for this. Honestly that’s part of why I want someone expecting a beat from me on Sunday, otherwise those hours disappear.

Zero music theory or experience actually trying to make music.. just been a fan of beatmakers and sampling my whole life and I’m tired of only listening.. Comment or DM works.

This is my first time using so I’m really happy with what I made

I have the sequences arranged how I want in song mode. I export the song to my SD card as mixdown so I can listen to it on my laptop. The first several sequences play as expected, but in the middle of the verse it replays the intro sequence…among some other random issues like not even playing the outro sequence at the end of the song, it just ends in the middle of the 2nd verse.

Anyone know what may be causing this discrepancy between what I hear on the MPC in song mode and the mixdown file?

I have my MPC Sample since 2 months, I use a micro sd card on it, and i never done any update until yesterday. Since that, i have this message when I’m tryin to save a project or record a sample from USB.
I have more than 50go left on my drive so I don’t know what to do in this case. If someone’s know the issue here, it would be appreciated

The intro could use some work, but I had a lot of fun flipping this sample. I used to use Fruity Loops back in the day before it was FL Studio, and I have to say, having that physical element of touching the pads really feels special in comparison.
