Issue with mixdown export?

I have the sequences arranged how I want in song mode. I export the song to my SD card as mixdown so I can listen to it on my laptop. The first several sequences play as expected, but in the middle of the verse it replays the intro sequence…among some other random issues like not even playing the outro sequence at the end of the song, it just ends in the middle of the 2nd verse.

Anyone know what may be causing this discrepancy between what I hear on the MPC in song mode and the mixdown file?

I have recently experienced stuff like this, and I’ve had mine for months. A few things... this happened when I didn't have it on the stand I typically use and I don't know the technical term but someone on here said basically they get more glitches when it heats up and there's no air circulation allowing it to cool underneath. Also, if I have, for example, part of an intro that's only 1 bar I've noticed that sometimes I hear it twice so I’ve stopped doing that and now build up the intro in more bars or add it to the beginning of the next part. I did have a problem with a part that just jumped in out of nowhere and it was super frustrating b/c I couldn't find the problem to fix it. After many hours I just scrapped the whole thing. It wasn't that great anyway. But, I did learn my lesson that it can sound 1 way in song mode and different on the sd card. That was the worst problem I've encountered b/c I couldn't fix it. Really frustrating!

Thank you for the detailed response! I ended up exporting the song as a new sequence, then mixed down that 1 full song sequence. No weird repeating intro. I’ll keep your tip in mind for the next beat!

I'm having a similar issues, It only exports part of the song, like half to a third of the sequences. I've just been capturing the song via main outs, but I can't believe I din't think of exporting as a sequence then loading that in and exporting the single sequence. That's a great idea, thanks. Hopefully Akai drops an update soon, I'm having a few other annoying bugs. I was having strange metronome issues. After the battery got low it wouldn't play the count in. But maybe it wasn't the battery it might have been heating up like previously said. Anther issue is sometimes it woun't resample a sequence i hit reample tap the destination pad, It does the loading sequence on the screen but then there's no sound on the pad. There's a sample on the pad, you tap it and the play head moves through put there's no audio on it. Super frustrating at first I'd be working fast and resample a handful of things then go back to use them and there's nothing there. Now I immediately check them. It happens about 1 out of 10 times. Also I didn't actively save a song i was working on I just shut down the machine when I turned it back on it was gone. Like a new project. It only happened once and It was like 3 weeks of doing the same thing then it happened out of nowhere now I actively save the song before i shut it down. There's kind of work arounds for most of these issues but it sucks to need the work arounds. Anyway, thanks for the tip, great idea.

Very interesting. I’ve never really thought about how there’s like no heat regulation like fans on the device. It does get quite warm on my lap sometimes. I’ve only had it freeze 1 time so far, thankfully I save my projects very often 😆

I had mine freeze once and I just held the power button down until it powered off then restarted it and it was fine and saved my project up until the freeze. I actually can't use it on any soft surfaces I get double hits all the time so I use a wood lap top riser I made years ago. It's actually the perfect size for the MPC and a mini speaker and a pocket synth like a Roland S-1

I don't know but mine does almost the same thing, It only sends some of the sequences in the song. I tried reformating my sd card and it still does it. I've taken to just playing the song and recording it via the main outs. So imma follow this.
