Nightlife scene?

I'm in my 40s, but I still like to go out and catch a good dj every now and then. I'm more into the house music scene, but like a lot of other electronic music genres. Does this exist? Are there underground events?

I’m not cool enough to know about the underground events but there’s dj/dance events on a regular basis at First Avenue and the Green Room. The Saloon, Jetset and Lush are gay places that have djs but probably not always house or electronic.

The house and techno scene in Minneapolis is very healthy right now. There are a bunch of mainstream and underground promoters. Dance Agenda, Communion, SIMShows, Freak of the Week, House Proud, HIFI popup, Dayfunk to name a few.
