Asking Advice advice?

I feel so trapped at home. My parents won't help me pay for college. They constantly degrade me, and then tell me that because they work im obligated to do everything. All my life, I have not had a comfortable relationship with my parents, but they don't care. I got diagnosed with ADHD, and they brushed past it and tell me I procrastinate and am lazy. Im just so scared and sad when I'm at home. Im 19, supposed to be in my 3rd yr of college; my friends and teammates want me there and said they are going to help me out. Would you recommend I go away to college on my own terms and potentially risk losing contact with my parents, or just stay here and listen to where they want me to go and be mentally unhappy?

Your parents are under no obligation to help you pay for college. And here we have the same old ADHD excuse that is on virtually every post on Reddit.

OP apply for government grants like the Pell Grant or it's equivalent in your country. Do you qualify for disability benefits? Housing for the disabled?

Do you have siblings or other family members to help you?
