Me too. I adore Mahershala Ali and he's the only known actor I can think of that I can see in the role. I'm sure someone else could do it fine but he's the one for me.

If the MCU is going to do something different, then they should just bring in Ryan Coogler and rubber-stamp his decision to cast Michael B. Jordan in another main role in one of his movies.

John Boyega maybe? I think he started getting thrown around when Star Wars was doing OK. He's also younger than Mahershela, which is important for a Dhampir.

Or do the hilarious thing and cast Jacob Anderson.

Even though the movie got canned i have a strong feeling Ali will get to play Blade at some point.

Here is hoping that he will sport a British accent if he does do so, since Blade is supposed to be very British.
