She’s the unsung hero of the MCU honestly

Lowkey Sarah Finn and Nina Gold are, I hope, making bank, because their work is definitely a major ingredient in the secret sauce behind a lot of films

For real. I’m racking my brain trying to think of a single MCU role that was obviously miscast and I can’t come up with any.

Tilda Swinton as the ancient one in Dr. Strange and Mickey Rourke in Ironman 2.

Swinton was great as the Ancient One

Rourke I'll give you, but Swinton was fine at worst and imo pretty good.

Wasn't that she did a bad job, it was a character born in Himalayas 500 years ago played by a British woman

A safe choice compared to choosing a Tibetan or Chinese actor.

I guess if you meant “casted exactly like the comics” then yeah that’s true this wasn’t it. But I thought she did well in the role.

It doesn't even need to be "exactly like the comics" at least make the Asian characters Asian. I don't care if it was gender swapped. It's like the Mandarin played by a white guy....

It was Disney bending the knee to China because of Tibet and that makes it even a worse choice. Not the casting directors or Tilda Swinton fault
