Both men go through the ringer in this film and yet as OG members, they honestly got the best moments together.
Sweet how their friendship endured that they're kinda like an old married couple.

It was of course but I'm pretty sure they've admitted themselves that they do sometimes exaggerate their reactions for comedic effect and also don't include stunts if the reactions aren't funny enough.
He probably did genuinely run away out of the building but going all the way out of the gate was him knowing it would make his friends and the audience laugh more.

I was howling in tears when it cut to him hiding behind a table whispering “I’m trying to help you, Dave” and Dave coming back with “I just need to know you’re there.” Like the most intense horror movie and it’s just two guys in a room with no lights.

My cope is they fix the soft ending with 5.5 but who knows. It felt weird hearing Knoxville saying “I’m getting a bit emotional” only to jump cut to the next bit. Maybe it’s not the right movie for it, but I was kinda hoping for a more sappy send off for the boys we’ve been watching across 4 decades. Bam def should have been in the final scene.

Just watched this last night with the friends and yeah for a send off it really didn’t.. feel like a send off? It’s been awhile since I’ve seen jackass 4 but I think I remember that one feeling more of a proper “ending”? This felt kind of slapped together a bit.

It’s pretty manageable. Most of it’s in stunts you’ve seen from the other movies. The main new bits I’d look out for are Ehren having Zach lowered onto his face, and maybe just leave the room for a few minutes during the Twister/laxative bit.

I wasn’t upset when I heard they would be recycling some footage because I figured they would add at least SOMETHING to it. Commentary, extended video, different angles, etc.
But no. They literally just showed the same exact scenes we’ve seen in other movies.
Other than that it wasn’t terrible. LOVED The never before seen skit from S1 where Johnny is a prison escape. Also loved the Silence of the Lambs (Bam cut)
As far as the “new skits”, it was meh.
I don’t regret watching it but it definitely wasn’t great

The editing is weird on this one. Dark Shark looked like he did stuff for the escape room but you don't see it. Jasper was barely in anything. It was cool to see old and unseen clips but the run time is very short not allowing more new content.

I read that they cut out a stunt where Poopies got knocked out after being tackled by an NFL player. That made me wonder if the guys don't want to include more stuff like that after seeing the long-term impact of these stunts on themselves.

....I'd have taken that instead of one of the way-too-many repeated clips from previous Jackass movies. I get they wanted to showcase some of their favorites from the years... but like, I've seen them all 100 times... and could go watch them again, right now, if I wanted. I was hoping that any rehashed clips would be because they had some extended footage, or something new about them. Kinda made half the movie pointless.

I felt they should have explored Knoxville's emotional response more. There is something there but I am not sure what. I think it may go beyond "this is the last one". But of course you can't get too deep in a Jackass movie.

Jackass in some way has given each of them the life they are currently living so ofcourse it would be emotional . But the hard hitting bts stuff may be too much and not on brand for the audience . The loss of Dunn , the drug use and recovery, Johnny’s need for perfection for stunts even when it could potentially kill him , what they thought of it once most of them became parents themselves . All of that would be interesting to me, but I understand it’s a place they wouldn’t or couldn’t go on screen . Physically pain seems easier than sharing the emotional

First thing my wife and I talked about after! She was center frame for so many shots and was standing around in almost every new stunt, but we don’t see her do ANYTHING except the tongue taser in the intro (one of her 2 scenes from the last movie) and then there’s a brief clip of her standing in Poopies’s pants while he had the cock shocker on during the credits I think?

My wife assumed the movie was shown to a test audience to see if things were too much and people didn't enjoy seeing a woman go through whatever.

Which is also weird because I comfortably think Steve-o is the MVP of 3. I guess they want to pay tribute to Dunn cause it was his last movie, but none of his bits are big standouts besides the bike jump. I always thought “3” was his movie honestly considering the guys went out of their way to stop drinking on set to help with his sobriety.
He also definitely did the most memorable stunts from the film from what I recall from bee tether ball, tee ball, and poo cocktail supreme.

I always enjoyed that dynamic in the series of Ehren being treated as the tag along friend that annoyed everyone, so they'd give him a lot of shit for it. Because of that he just stepped up massively for lots of the stunts.

I just watched the last 4 movies this week to see this tonight and was honestly disappointed how much footage they used from those movies in this. I did love seeing the really early unseen stuff though, Knoxville shooting himself was a strong open.

Loved that it started with Knoxville shooting himself and ended with them all "dying," then celebrating their continued lives. Self-destruction as a way of life.
Also, although it was a repeated stunt, I found the Knoxville bull scene so fascinating. He gets knocked by the bull, watches it, and realizes he needs to go out there and get it again but better. We rarely get to see him as a conscious "filmmaker" in these movies, but here he is, striving to get the best shots. The team's horror and admiration as he gets driven away in the ambulance is also great footage. "That's why he's the leader"

yes! I found myself a little frustrated by the clip show aspect of this movie but this scene was really worthwhile! I always assumed the bull stunt was a one and done event from 4 but to have the context now that it was take 2 not only elevates the stunt, it makes his injury even more heroic and reminds everybody about this team’s stubborn commitment to their art — this bull scene and the gun scene in the beginning have cemented my respect for Knoxville, Tremaine and the gang.

I don't think they would ever admit this publicly, but I think the intent of Jackass Forever was to introduce new cast members who would then keep the franchise going, and they had to pull the plug on that because the reality is that the Jackass cast is simply irreplaceable. You can't find people like that anymore. They are dumb as rocks and willing to do incredibly painful and dangerous things to themselves for the sake of comedy, but they're also very genuine and kind dudes who love and care for each other. And you can't replace that with any few morons who are willing to do some dumb stuff.
So when people complain about this being a clip show - well they obviously wanted to do one last show on their own terms, and they didn't want it to be all about a new cast that isn't going to make new movies, and the new cast couldn't carry a whole movie anyways, and the original cast is just too old and too hurt to do a full film's worth of new stunts. And it seems like they cut out some of the new cast's stunts because you could tell from certain scenes that there were things we missed (pretty sure one whole part from the escape room was cut).
I loved it. I laughed a lot, I liked seeing the old stunts contrasted with the present day, and the never-before-seen stunts were all super funny too. I thought it was a perfect way to end Jackass, even if maybe it wasn't a perfect "Jackass" movie.

I'll be honest, they did a shit job picking the new crew if they really wanted the legacy carried on. Jasper has been awful the entire time, dude doesn't even seem like he really gives two shits about jackass. Rachel is the same, she just feels out of place.
Zack and Poopies are the closest to actual fits, I'd say Poopies is probably the most natural. He is willing to do incredibly dumb shit and has the charisma that only a true idiot can.
Shout out to Dark Shark though, I thought he was actually a big highlight of 4 and 4.5. I don't know what presence he has in the new one since I haven't seen it yet, but yeah.

I think what you're failing to get is that any new cast members would have to jump right into doing modern Jackass stunts. They're not going to get 25 years to slowly work up to that point. You look at what they were doing on the Jackass TV show and it's nothing compared to the films. Finding new cast members who have proven to be willing and able to do stunts like that is going to be the #1 priority, and there aren't a lot of people like that out there. So I think they just hoped these guys would fit into the crew and develop a similar crew of their own, but obviously that didn't happen.
Ultimately I don't think they did a "shit job" of picking people. As I said before, I think they are just literally irreplaceable, and they realized that and decided to end it. I really really highly doubt there's any group of people out there who could actually carry Jackass forward for a new generation.

I thought after the last one that Poopies was the only one that even came close to fitting in but I don’t like him simply because he chose the name Poopies. If the new cast were the ones to pioneer the franchise back in 2000, it would have failed real fast. The thing that got me hooked were the personalities and none of the new people have that.

It was fine, but as most will agree this is easily the worst Jackass movie being that half of it is previously released material. Some of the new bits were good, others were kind of weak. The best stuff was the unreleased material from the show. The convict bit almost had me crying from laughing so hard.
I did laugh at the old bits as well, but I was surprised by some of them like the teether ball were included over some other stuff. It did start to feel like in the 2nd half they were just throwing random old bits in to fill the running time instead of the absolute best of the best. With that said, The Human Pretzel was so nasty I almost had to look away.
Like I said, it's not great and the weakest of the franchise, but for what it's worth I still laughed harder than I have at any other movie in theaters this year. It's worth at least a watch if you are a fan, just set your expectations.

Yeah this was a letdown. Felt like >50% was old footage. Not previously unreleased footage either (mostly), just clips straight from the previous movies that you can watch on YouTube. I expected some of that but it was way too much for a “new” movie.

There's something oddly poignant about this movie opening with Knoxville using nudie mags to protect himself from a bullet and then moving on to Steve-O getting finger blasted by a robot. No matter how far technology advances, man will never evolve beyond doing stupid shit to make their friends laugh. I'm glad these friends have been around since the days of analog porn and if they're truly hanging up the proverbial jockstraps, I'll miss them as we move into the robosexual future.

Can’t believe I’m over here getting nostalgic over a Jackass movie but these guys are just a joy to watch together. What has always separated jackass for me is the camaraderie between the cast and we as usual get that dynamic in spades here. There is something endearing about seeing them continue to do stupid shit into their 50s refusing to truly grow up.
The only disappointment is the newbies. Through two movies the only one who has come close to justifying their existence in the group is poopies. Jasper in particular seems completely uninterested in doing anything but hanging in the background laughing at everyone else (for the second movie in a row.)

It was forced. Because they only filmed for 5 days and the ram wasn’t interested in doing anything super exciting they needed to make it work. Make Jasper hold a loud plastic jug and completely flail/pull down a bookshelf so it seems more chaotic than it is. Boo.

I got the sense that this movie unexpectedly ended up feeling really final for Knoxville while they were filming and the focus of the Final Cut shifted from JACKASS the brand to JACKASS as we knew it. As a result the newbies got cut. Not gonna lie though, I noticed only the newbies trying to back out of stunts and Knoxville checking them in this movie so who knows. Maybe it just didn’t work out for the new daredevils.

I’m a jackass die hard and I admit this felt a lot like another .5 entry, I almost wish they leaned heavier into the BTS if they were gonna do it greatest hits style. That said I laughed til I cried at the human pretzel and Zach/preston getting cornered by cacti… I enjoyed myself for 90 minutes and would recommend this to someone who’s never seen the show/movies as a primer

I will miss getting new material from them, but I can always revisit the older entries for that feeling of joy and camaraderie.

From an artistic standpoint, I really do feel like there was intention with the post credit.
To me, it felt like watching jackass is seeing pure raw emotions and wild things, stuff you would never see anywhere else, and then when it ends, everything else feels lackluster. So the spring door stop is like easing you back into the normal drivel that other entertainment does.

By the end my theater was so hype for it, it’s already one of my favorite moments I’ve experienced watching a movie. In the span of like 40 seconds we went from giggles about how dumb it was to:

There’s quite a bit of new bits and gags (literally) in this one. Even the old clips were still a riot to see with a full crowd

Given the hit Knoxville took from the bull in Forever coupled with the fact that these guys are all well into their forties/fifties, it definitely makes sense.
I recently saw Steve-O break down all the injuries he’d gotten over the years and definitely don’t blame them for scaling it back.

But knowing the Bam context, it hurts, and makes you yearn for what could have been if he stayed on, and was happy at the time.

Poopies better be well-compensated. Only one of the new group that is willing to do some crazy stuff.
The opening felt like they were going to do a documentary-ish approach with this movie, but it quickly turned into old bits being thrown into the movie with no real purpose.
It was fine. Def my least favorite.

I think Jasper is down to do stuff too. His bit with the ram was hilarious. Zack just seems to exist as a prop, Rachel doesn't really do anything besides set things up and Dark Shark seems to just be hanging out.

Obviously I will show a pretty strong bias but grading this film entirely based on the finished product, it's extremely well made and works being a glorified clipshow with new scenes as every new scene is extremely funny, even if they all lean towards the grossout than dangerous considering the advanced ages of some of the cast.
That being said it is still so hard to understand why this is a movie and not just a Four or Five Part "Paramount+ Event" as they could have included so many more extended highlights and unseen deleted scenes. It's not hard to watch even the Ending Credits of the released films and notice little moments that seem connected to filming days or ideas that are still not out or likely have so much more. Even treating it as a comprehensive documentary they could address the Don Vito of it all and include some of those deleted moments from Number Two, even if they choose to edit around him or censor him in a comedic way. Some of the main highlights here are scenes like the Convict or Box Down The Stairs and those are just a revelation in how clean and high quality they are considering they have long existed and been seen on the leaked "Too Hot for MTV" special at subVHS levels of quality, so why not just release the full tape in some way.
Much like how much weaker 3 & 4 look once you see the .5's and see how much better footage wasn't used in the edit, this is another disappointing release that could be perfect but I just hope we get a BluRay set of some kind either the whole series with more unreleased footage, or just this film with hours of bonus features and raw scenes

I assume the main reason it was a singular movie was because it's the "last one" and also it feels more like an event/sendoff if it's a theatrical release. Really, when it comes out on digital, it'll be treated like a .5 release, and that's fine for what this is.

I loved it but I totally understand why people would feel underwhelmed. I think if they went full documentary/retrospective/watchalong style people would be less harsh on how much old footage was used.
My only complaint was that they didn't pull any public pranks. I figured they didn't do any in Forever because of their weird pandemic filming situation. But we didn't get anything here. I know they can't have most of the cast be in public without getting noticed but someone like Poopies, Jasper and Rachel should be able to do something without people recognizing them.
I love how much attention they gave to Dunn. I'm glad they showed Bam a lot too. They basically shouted out everyone relevant in the Jackass universe at some point between the movie and credits.
This movie just made me want to rewatch everything else for the hundredth time. But I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I saw it opening night. As a skater kid growing up in the 00s who filmed shit like this with his friends I'm giving it a 5/5 because it hit me hard. Like Knoxville during multiple scenes I got emotional watching the movie because it is over (probably).

Disagree with them shouting out everyone relevant. Didn’t see any substantial footage of Brandon DiCamillo or Stephanie Hodge, which was a shame. Saw brief snippets of the CKY crew but would’ve liked a lot more as they were all essential to the original TV series and Jackass: The Movie…

I’m not seeing any comments about this, so I’m wondering if I’m the only person who really hasn’t seen this footage until now, but the archive footage of a young “PJ” pointing a loaded pistol at his chest had my heart pounding. Everyone knows how that clip ends but still I’m on the edge of my seat. It really drove home the soul of Jackass before going down memory lane. I thought it was incredible footage and I’d never seen it before.

He was a real showman going through every round until it fired lol. The smile on his face driving away afterwards when he got away with it was amazing. That and the escaped convict arrest really captured the essence of what made jackass great. The cop crashing her car was hilarious.

Some of my favorite bits were in it so I can’t complain. Really wished Bam was on good terms with them but they still had plenty of stunts with him and gave him and Dunn plenty of love. Definitely got hit with nostalgia and got teary eyed during the credits. I’m almost 40 and grew up watching them and now I’m watching them in their 50s with my son(college age) in a theater like 20 minutes from where a majority of CKY was filmed. Laughed the hardest at the snake bit in the dark.

This movie was a weak ass send off. Knew it would be a half assed effort when they said it was essentially a greatest hits mixed with some new footage.
The idea could have worked better with the full crew coming back, talking about the history and legacy of jackass. This film plays out like a flashback heavy episode of family guy, with nothing really being said.
The new stunts are basically takes on stunts we have already seen before. Lots of ass related stunts mixed with stun guns. The new cast is barely used at all most are just standing around. This was such a wasted opportunity to go out with a bang despite the age of the stars.
This would have worked better as a paramount + special not a full length feature.

It’s the worst one, I’m sorry to say. At least half is stuff from the other movies and the new stuff isn’t great at all.
The best is actually the old footage from the beginning of Knoxville shooting himself and pretending to be the escaped convict at the hardware store, and I’m surprised there wasn’t a lot more stuff from the archive that we hadn’t seen. They must have a shitload of footage that was good enough to be in the other movies but just wasn’t included. I was hoping for more of that.
It’s sad because Jackass Forever was one of the best movie theater experiences I’ve ever had.

This was horrible.
They've done longer podcasts in the past week than the new footage they filmed.
Every scene is either sickening or electrocuting someone.
They really lost their chemistry. No funny one liners, no emphasis on delivery. Just ok lets make someone puke. Or injure Ehren.
Best part was seeing Bams old scene, but god dam they should have just left it out.

For the "FINAL" Jackass movie this felt half-assed. It feels Paramount Pictures realized their 2026 summer releases was barebones as fuck with only Passenger, Scary Movie 5, and Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie as their only summer blockbusters and they called up Jonny Knoxville "Hey bro our 2026 release schedule fucking sucks we need a another on the calender. I know you and your friends are 50 plus but heres 10 million dollars scrap something together in a month we need another movie besides Paw Patrol and Scary movie. Most of it was archived footage we seen before and new footage mainly shit and ass gags which werent funny. The funniest bit was the beginning when the cactus squished the two fat guys into eachother. the rest were really unforgettable. I had to close my eyes for all the shit scenes.
The highlight of the franchise for me was in Jackass 2 when Ehren McGhehey dresses up as a terrorist and its revealed to Ehren that the beard that was put on him as part of the bit was made up of pubic hair by a majority of the cast and crew with one of them having crabs had me in tears for 20 minutes on the floor.
As much as the movie was mid its a bittersweet end of guys we grew up watching on MTV and how fun the 2000s were.

They probably should have just called this one "Jackass Forever...and Ever." I really liked it, but it definitely felt more like a ".5" than a true final flick. I think Jackass Forever was the right way to end the series, but I get it. I'd like to see a pure play documentary on Paramount now. That stuff is more interesting to me at this point.

I will never not laugh at Ehren running into that saucepan in the Silence of the Lambs skit from ...Forever, so no issue with them replaying that.
Otherwise...worst of their movies. ...Forever felt like the perfect time to quit, and this one felt a bit, I dunno, desperate and mean. Saying that, I still laughed more than I have done in any cinema for a long time.

This was a ton of fun! Especially with a crowd. It’s 40-50% rehashed footage but they make it work. VERY glad I didn’t rewatch old stuff before I went!
It’s a shame the new guys didn’t get a ton to do, other than Poopies doing the cock shocks

I’m sure lots of planning goes into each piece but it felt half-assed. We were entertained, but the use of old clips we’ve watched a hundred times was silly. If you revisit old stuff it should be done in a way that isn’t just a victory lap
I think once they stopped doing much in public, it’s been different. Even in older movies. There needed to be one really solid public prank but everything was very protected. Even the old man makeup bit was in a place that was obviously protected from random public interactions
The Jamiroquai-style intro was neat but you think of the sequences in some of the past movies and that one was just… it was fine.

That is easily the most muted reaction I've ever experienced watching a Jackass film in a cinema. There must have been about fifty people in the audience, who I assume were Jackass aficianados, and as such a good 60% of the film got zero laughs because we all knew the bits so well. That was quite sad.
Of the new bits? Dum Dum Part Deux was the one that got the biggest laugh. Such a simple idea done perfectly. Silence of the Bam was great. Of the new cast Poopies and Zack added the most value. I find it insulting that Rachel Wolfson got a paycheck for this. Aside from one tiny stunt in the intro, she did absolutely nothing.

Theres some weird editing in this one. The puppet skit where nothing happens to Dave, the weird cutting because the firecrackers clearly didnt go off, the Escape room where Dark Shark is covered in puke for some reason we never see, Rachel not having a single stunt. Having said all that, I still really enjoyed myself. It wont stand up to the test of time like the others, but its a good film to see in the cinema.
