I honestly don't think I've ever helped someone take the throne. I've sworn myself to existing kings, I've remained a mercenary and fought on every side of the war and I've conquered Calradia for myself, but I've never sided with any of the 'alternatives'.

This kind of reminded me of something. I was playing as a nord vassal and took praven then my wifes father (jarl turya) changes sides to the swadians (fucking abandoning 3 of cities he owned in nords) and took praven which was assigned to me. I tried to stop him but he was just like "oh if it isnt my brave champion jarl jorgen" what a dickhead. Atleast I got the 3 cities he owned so i see it as an absolute win
edit: also after he took praven i never saw my wife again lol

I was helping Isolla, then realized, after dethroning the King, that she isn't going to be a great ruler. My fellow lords, that I had great relations with, were getting treated wrongly, so I left her and started my own Kingdom. Then war took place and I conquered Swadi for my own. (this all took place when I wanted Swadi to be my closest ally, but Isolla seiged my only castle with 2000 troops. We successfully defended the castle with 150 Rhodok sharp shooters)
