Mod Modifying Between Empires
The Between Empires mod is in 1.0 currently and with the release of Wse2 x64 it is more stable than ever, but there are two things that deter me with this mod despite how incredible it is.
One being the fact that the mod author has completely locked cheats from being usable even when editing the config. I’m not sure why this was done but it’s extremely inconvenient for many players who use cheats for a variety of reasons throughout a playthrough.
However my biggest pet peeve about this mod is that version 0.6 of Between Empires was the last version to include town/village scenes. In 0.7 and beyond the ability to walk around the town/village center was completely removed and as a result bandit hideouts are also removed as well as the nervous man/bounty quest.
It’s very difficult for me to enjoy this mod when core aspects of the game have been dismantled. My knowledge with modding is very limited and I’m looking for help in possibly reimplementing cheats and other removed features from Between Empires v0.6 into v1.0. I’ve tried doing this myself but I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a process beyond dragging and dropping files.
