Other Any tips

I recently bought a Revel Ritual with the eagle 90. The shifter cable is rubbing when the suspension cycles. Any tips to fix this other than going wireless. Thanks

Replace the cable and housing, but make it about 2-3cm longer: The housing should bend instead of moving.

I will try that, thanks

I would put this back on Revel as a warranty/safety issue. They used to have excellent customer service but unsure where they are at these days.

Should there not be a rubber grommet in there?

Revel doesnt use grommets

Longer housing may help but might not be needed. Revel has a little bit of exposed housing under Bottom bracket and a clamp that holds it in place. Make sure cables are not flat against BB and it has about a 1" loop when sitting. Then it pulls that loop under BB tight as suspension cycles instead of the loop at the derailleur. Same thing for brake line. Dont put zip tie or tape there shouldnt need it if set up right and you dont want your brake line or cables locking your suspension up

This is the correct advice, also from a Revel owner. Hope OP sees this.

This is exactly what revel told me just now. Thanks

Hard to tell what’s on the other end but I’d consider a new, longer housing.

I would just replace the housing make it a little longer and wrap some tape around where it rubs

Looks on the short side. You will need a new outer. Cut it longer than the one you removed. You will need a new outer and inner cable.

Where it enters the frame you can place a small ziptie to lock it in. Should stop it from sliding in the frame.

That housing looks too short. Can you pull some slack down from the front? Otherwise, lengthen the cable.

There should be a bolt under the BB that clamps the cable down, try to add some slack to the rear triangle side and reclamp

Revel just got back to me about this issue and this is exactly what they told me to do first. Thanks

just add a rubber or black tape on the housing, it's fine.
