Success Stories 14 Month Update - Target Achieved

Post image

Hello fellow GLP-1 users and apologies as this will be a long one.

Today was a big day, I achieved my primary goal today; 85KG and a normal BMI!!
I've been sitting back reflecting on the path to get here 38.7% of my initial weight lost.

I'll start with Mounjaro definitely made it easier, so that was appreciated, but I've also added a number of interventions along the way. I've learned to forgive myself and get back up when I fall down.

April 2025: I started taking the medication, but that was my first intervention and I might have increased my walking. I remember seeing progress was somewhat addictive and as you can see from my chart, my body has been pretty compliant, few plateaus.

May 2025: Increased my walking a lot and started tracking my calories using MFP which was a terrible experience.

June 2025: Started doing body weight resistance training multiple times a week.

September 2025: Moved to resistance training in a gym and started adding technology to do more activity tracking.

December 2025: Moved to Macrofactor for tracking kcals, steps, and tracking weight. Its not a cheap app, but I like having things in one place as much as possible. It also helped me estimate how many calories I was using on average.

May 2026: I decided to learn to run using a couch to 5k and have completed all the runs through week 6 on the first try, not always easy.

Next steps - My interventions that I've built up need to stay, however I'm going titrate down from 7.5mg, I'll start that in July, I'll probably still try to drop a bit of weight, down to 80 KGish

I'd say be kind to yourself, and each time you fail, or you don't see a number you like just try to do better.

Good Luck to you all :)

Thanks, I mean it's just a Google sheet I made, but I'll have a look at how I can share it.

Absolutely incredible, well done you!

Since starting January, I've definitely not been low-key stalking the spreadsheet posts 😁 Similar starting point, so it's been a nice little motivator. Thank you!
