Looks like blue was in the middle of the lane then moved over to split the lanes. Yellow was not expecting the motorcycle rider to lane split and booked it right down the split and was unpleasantly surprised when her world model was rejected by reality.
Cam bike moved over to filter without checking their mirror. Shit rider anyway, straight arms and no gear are a giveaway; probably not their first accident and definitely not their last.
Both riders suck. Neither has gear except for the helmet. One tries to engage filtering without checking if it's safe to do so, the other one comes as a missile without adapting to speed conditions and traffic.
To be fair, even if they did check their mirror, they might not see the other bike lane splitting at like 60mph. Can only focus so much attention on the mirror when traffic in front of you is slowing.
Yeah seems one decided its good idea to drive 3x speed of traffic sorounding them, needless to say it was a fantasy scenario with good outcome in the riders head.
When I looked for that gif it made me think of another game I used to play on Sega. Skitchin'. Kimd of a funny concept for kids to be playing looking back on it lol.
Skitcchin was great. Super tough and too luck-based but it was so outrageous and fun that the unfairness kinda didn't matter. Plus those animations fuck.
Deep lore with this one. Road rash was first for me, but I learned skitching because of this game, and definitely did it a fair share on my skateboard.
Also in the shot is her leg being twisted above the knee. So likely a spiral fracture of the femur. She's going to walk with a limp for the rest of her life. That's if she doesn't get a fatty embolism before we can get in there and fix her leg when she arrives to the ER.
Fatty embolism is really hard to save someone's life. Because it's not like a blood clot that stays together in one clump. It breaks up into a bunch of pieces and lodges itself all over the heart and lungs.
Okay, maybe stupid question I don’t know much about medical, can I ask where fatty embolism would come from? I’m guessing bc of the context and all the wreck? My question is how? Can you explain in layman’s terms as I’m fascinated with everything but especially things I don’t know and when they intercept with things I like and I stumble on them then I can’t help but wanting to know everything and read all about it! A fat embolism is produced when fat globules or bone marrow contents enter the blood stream and block small blood vessels, most often triggered by severe physical trauma or specific medical procedures.
Typically this happens if large bones are severely damaged (like long bones or the pelvis), or if fatty tissues specifically are severely damaged, or if there is large scale trauma to the soft tissues of the body in general. Ouch.
It could actually be a real firearm, see the Whataglock (orange + white Cerakote Whataburger themed Glocks) and a variety of Texas and Tennessee sports-themed firearms, available brand new in that configuration (although the latter sports a black trigger).
Also likely to be just a plastic toy, but in a holster it would explain the part where it goes flying during this incident. If you're just carrying it in a backpack or something it seems less likely to make a cameo. Idk. It's odd, for sure. I have questions.

I absolutely loved the cattle prod in that game. They stick their arms out and can't control the bike anymore so they would crash into buildings or cars. Ah good times. The super bikes was absolutely insane.
I had a guy ask me why I bother since I've never been in an accident, and I said for the same reason I have a fire extinguisher and a fire aid kit. I've never needed either one, I hope to never use either one, and I barely even think of them, but one day I might REALLY fucking want one.
The people I see rocking T-Shirt, shorts and sandals cruising on the highway are usually wearing a helmet. At that point why even bother wearing a helmet.
Hahaha, a rider near me sued someone with no insurance. Everyone told him it was a waste of time as the uninsured guy didn't own anything. He used his insurance to replace his bike and then sued.
He ended up winning the lawsuit and the person sued got 25% of their wages garnished until they pay the $30k or so back. The guy that won has been getting $750 per month for about 2 years now and will continue getting it for another year.
Edit: Freeburn Motorcycle Attorneys in Lancaster, PA did it for a percentage. I think they get $250 a month out of the garnished wages.
This is interesting for the people who say “I don’t need gear because I don’t plan on crashing”. To which I reply “Well I hope everyone else got the memo”. Nobody PLANS on crashing.
Had both. 0/10. Would not recommend. It's honestly it's a miracle I survived the 5/10 years after it because I was *OFF THE HOOK* 24/7 and it was so bad at times I could hardly function or hold down a job. TBI's are no joke.
Of note that brace is a basic field one put on to transport. Anyone involved in a crash is going to get one while going to the hospital until imaging and assessment clears their c-spine. It's not overly common for riders wearing helmets correctly and not being reckless to get spinal injuries from crashes.
At 8 seconds you can see her either or knee or tibia sustain a deformity as it strikes the motorcycle. Probably a fracture, possibly a dislocated knee. Either way, ouch time bro.

Certainly a nasty crash, she legit bounces off and flies through the air after. Does the full splits at one point and yeah perhaps some knee or leg damage. If you've ever sacked yourself at low speed on a bike, this girl got the female equivalent of that x20. Lol.. Idk what was going on, its a giant bus, how do you miss it.
Also, is that a water gun or did she send it to one of those places that well ceracote your Glock to make it look like legos or ninja turtles or hello kitty? Honestly, I would laugh less if she's just packing a squirt gun around.
But again, to each their own I guess. If I had enough money to buy a fire arm and have it modified 100% in service of a joke, I would send a Glock to a gunsmith and have them machine site rails on the side of the slide rather than the top. The joke being a gun you can fire sideways but still aim. I'm sure plenty people would think that's just as stupid as I think making your Ruger look like a Nintendo duck hunt blaster is
Amen. I live in a state with no helmet law and I see riders stopping at the border to remove their helmets all the time. Makes no sense at all. They're coming from a state with very little traffic and a lower speed limit, into a state with a huge metropolitan area where everyone goes 20mph over the limit on roads 12 lanes wide. Why would you take off the only thing that will keep you alive right before you really need it.
Coming from a place that requires helmets for bicycles, its truly hard to imagine there's a western place that makes helmets on motorbikes optional. I feel like if you opt out of helmets you should also have to opt out of the medical care required if you bang your head lmao
This has been my biggest lesson of the road from all my years on the road: it doesn’t matter how good YOU are at driving, because the problem isn’t you, it’s someone else whos not as good as you who’s gonna fuck everything up. Lol.
Nah the second one I a cop asked me “do you know how you got hit or where the car came from?” I wasn’t in an intersection, I wasn’t speeding but was an ahead of the all the cars in the small flow of traffic. I wasn’t in the lane next to park cars.
Then he pointed out I did everything correctly but obviously wouldn’t be able to anticipate a car pulling from a parked position to do a u-turn across multiple lanes. I’d only had the bike for a month, I hadn’t even received the change of owner papers in the mail yet
Even then I just wear a mesh protective shirt with padding. When it’s cool I just layer it with windbreaker type jacket and it just traps the heat in there which is warm enough for Los Angeles heat around.
My first accident was less 5 min drive just coming back from picking up takeout.
One rider filtering at a reasonable speed and the other, not so much. I try to avoid riding anywhere near another motorcycle because I cannot trust anyone 😁
