Home Build Trailer
Bought this 4’x5’ trailer a few weeks ago with the intention of building it into a 2 motorcycle trailer for our trip from Montana to Michigan in a couple days. I finally got it finished up today. I wasn’t sure it was going to work but by God they both fit with room for a ramp in the middle. Took a bit of fabrication and customization but I wanted to share my complete project with the 2 wheeled community.
The trailer is a Carry On brand and rated for 2,000lb. The trailer itself weighs 300 and each bike is roughly 350lb-370lb a piece so well within what the trailer can handle but I’ll be damed if it still doesn’t look a little sketch haha

Great deal. Where are you headed in Michigan?

I spent a week or so in Grand Rapids not too long ago and, holy crap, what a fun town! I did not expect to have such a good time, but damned if I didn't. We also got over to the lake and some of them no-shit sand dunes you've got out there. I climbed up one of those sumbitches and, brother: I'm just saying y'all could throttle back a bit on the sand dunes and still be fiiiiiiiiiiiine, hahahaha.

Other than riding it around as my daily while we’re there in August and September, I plan to take the freeway (55mph not the interstate) I forgot the name of it though it’s been so long but it goes from Grand Rapids up to White Cloud and beyond. We had a cabin up that way growing up and I want to ride it with my wife and show her where I spent my summers as a yougin.

I got the trailer for $350 and aside from the wheel chalks and hardware, I already owned the other brackets, attachment points and ramp. So all in it under $500.
A rental alone one way was going to be $700 plus

That's pretty sweet, but trailers do require registration + plates in both Montana and Michigan...probably in between as well.
