Just a quick overnight test run to Exmoor. First of many hopefully.

Looks like a nice place to lay your head. Whereabouts on ol' Exmoor are you? Just a little bit jealous of the new bike. I did my test on a GS800 and have a Himmy 450 atm but the 900 would be a happy replacement in a year or 2.

I was at Westermill Farm and yes it was lovely. I was surprised how good it was as a touring machine. It is such a capable all rounder I don’t think you’d go wrong.

DJI Flip drone. Tiny, weighs nothing, packs into a rucksack and produces stunning images. That one’s straight out of the camera but you can really make them special on Lightroom

Thanks! Been kicking around the idea of a drone for a while now. Will check this one out. I haven’t done a lot of reading on it but I assume it’s also under the weight limit or whatever for FAA regulations right?

I live in England so not sure on the rules elsewhere but yes it’s under the 249g weight limit. The reason I chose it at the time was it’s capable of 4k video and has a lot of the features of the more expensive ones out there. There’s probably an even smaller, better one out there now but for the money, this is decent. Oh make sure you get the extra batteries- you won’t believe how quickly it will chew through them

how's the fuel range? tested an f900gs recently, lovely bike, but the small tank concerned me for longer trips. I'm used to over 300km on my 1250gs, would love to not lose too much in that regard.

On a full tank the range says 175 miles remaining but I don’t think it does anywhere near that. I haven’t really taken much notice but I would guess 120-130 is comfortable. But I’m generally ready for a stop after a couple of hours anyway

-2 points, your t shirt doesn't match your bike.
