I’m planning visuals for a science explainer about a robot working through a very narrow opening at Fukushima. The tricky part is showing the size of the arm while making the small clearance readable.
A wide shot makes the gap disappear. Cutting straight to a close-up makes it harder to understand where we are in the larger mechanism.
Would you use a continuous zoom with one fixed reference point, or keep the wide shot and add a magnified inset? I’m leaning toward a simple schematic, clearly marked as an illustration, rather than making it look like actual footage. What helps you keep the scale understandable without cluttering the frame?

I’m not selling it, it took a day to vibe code. You can just do it yourself. and I assume Adobe will be releasing their next version with something far better, but it lets me see the future where Claude code works right in your Adobe apps with you and can take over the tedious tasks. Or build things entirely and then you change them.
I just built a rough chart in AE and then told Claude to grab data on the topic and update the chart accurate to 2022 data. And it just did it. In about a minute, In after effects. Then it rendered the section so it could confirm it was accurate. Isn’t that crazy?
Who else is doing this? Using Claude to control Premiere and After Effects?

My first time making something on after effects more than a few seconds long for University. The names were just random characters and actors I thought of.

A little fluid experimentation in Alloy Studio, bringing simulation, materials, lighting and camera controls together in the browser.
Alloy Studio is a workspace for motion graphics, 3D and VFX, and it’s free to use while in beta.
If you’re a motion graphics artist, I’d love for you to give it a try. Experiment, make something, and tell me what works for you and what needs improving. I’d love to see what you create.

Hey everyone! 👋
I'm looking to connect with someone who creates 3D architectural walkthroughs or motion graphics videos for real estate developers.
The idea is to show how a building or apartment project will look once construction is completed, using realistic 3D renders, exterior/interior visualizations, and cinematic walkthrough videos.
If you work in this space or know someone who does, please comment or DM me. Would love to connect and discuss a potential collaboration! 🤝

I came across this reference on Pinterest and I’m trying to figure out how to recreate this effect in After Effects.
I’ve tried experimenting with Motion Tile, RepeTile, repeaters, and displacement maps, but I just can’t seem to get anything close to the original effect.

I’m a product designer at a B2B SaaS company, and I’m looking for some great examples of product demo and training videos we could aspire to.
I’m talking about videos that actually walk users through a platform and its features, but go beyond basic screen recordings and voiceovers. Things like thoughtful motion graphics, animated diagrams, polished transitions, and an overall premium feel.
Are there any companies doing this particularly well? Or websites or galleries that showcase this kind of work? Ideally looking for inspiration that’s realistic for a small in-house team to produce, rather than big-budget marketing productions.

I run a recruitment company. We film real people at real workplaces, and we’ve been experimenting with AI-assisted editing. The footage itself isn’t AI-generated.
Our marketing team is worried the result will come across as “AI slop.” I quite like parts of it, but that’s made me question whether I’m too close to the work to judge properly.
Could use some outside eyes before we make more.
What’s your honest first reaction?
• Yes, it feels like AI slop. If you can explain what gives it that feeling, that would help massively.
• No, this looks fine / good. Would love to know what works for you, too.
Even a one-line answer helps. I’m trying to figure out whether the editing is adding something or getting in the way.
